Easiest way is to split the song into instrument and vocal, and then mix the two songs

1) Obtain vocal and instrumental stems, figure out their BPM 2) Import them into your DAW of choice (Reaper, Ableton...), align tempo and key 3) Arrange them so that the parts make sense against one another and sound good 4) Fill in any incoherent parts by adjusting the vocals/instrumentals if necessary 5) Give it another listen. Keep an ear out for any parts where the vocals are misaligned, and align vocals where necessary 6) Listen through it again. Adjust audio balance: equalization, reverb, compression. Add any effects that you want after this point. 7) Listen through it again to double check for any mistakes. Master the audio volume to remove clipping/overly loud parts. Render the track 8) Listen through the rendered track to identify and fix any post-render artifacts. 9) Above but after a few days just in case 10) Upload, and then realize you made an audible mistake that ruins the mashup despite all the double checking
