Today, I tried your mathod to put arko shave stick soap into my plastic shaving bowl. Then I created leather throug swirling brush in the soap inside the bowl. And it works great. I am happy that I can really enjoy great leather of arko and can get better shave. Your videos are a great source of information. And I love Turkish products. Looking forward to same video of Derby shave stick soap too. Hope to see this soon. çok teşekkürler

I think it loses its feature when heated when you keep room temperature it’s soft enough to put in the bowl

Hello I have been living in Antalya Turkey since 2002 and I have been using Arko soap since I moved here. It's a great soap that doesn't cost alot of money. Less than 4 tl a stick.

Thanks man, your advice helped me a lot. In all other videos on KZfaq, people just open the stick and start rubbing against their faces - that looks very odd in my opinion. What you did in this video is absolutely the way it should be done. I followed your advice, prepared Arco shaving soap stick in a small plastic container and it works great!!!

That's how shaving soap sticks are meant to be used. You rub it on the stubble, with a wet face and then face lather with the brush.

Arlo is my go to shaving soap as nothing lathers as well or has the same level of slickness. I never using it was a stick like this gentleman. I warm it up to room temp and it can easily be squashed and moulded to your favourite bowl or container.

@@thewillofthepeople4615Arko is one of the best shaving soaps, period, and it is very affordable. If you can’t list examples of better cheap soaps to back up what you say, then maybe you should just not comment.

Up until now I have used on old cheese grater to shred arko sticks and then press them into a plastic tub. It's always proved effective. Next time I'll try your method of warming and moulding them. Arko also produces shaving soap in a bowl, but I find that it doesn't lather up as effectively. Some people don't like the scent but I think it has a good old-fashioned barbershop smell.

@@BarberT Hole mir Arko Seife auf Vorrat und auch Rasierklingen, muß demnächst zu meiner Türkin, ich sehe aus wie Struppi. I will soon get Arko Soap on Stock and also Razor Blades, have to go to my turkish Girl soon, i look like Struppi .

Arko is a great soap and it's cheap, but the smell... i pref Cella much better, did you tried it Turko? smells wonderfull and sweet.

I had no damn idea, that Arko was so pliable, that you could just squeeze it like that :O I'm a shaving enthusiast, and when not just cutting a coin size off a stick, and throw it in a cup, i just use them directly on the face... Was thinking about grating a stick, but i can see that seems pointless and a waste of time!!! Thank you!!! :D What's that aftershave called, and is it alcohol-based? Oh and SUBBED!!! :)

I use the same pot. Only 50 Kuruş. Arko is now 5tl a stick. I use Tütün (Tobacco) kolonya.

Hi mate first this I I preferred and find out soap stay in plastic pots batter reason metal pot when get hot and cold to Quickly this makes soap falling apart very quickly stay safe

I have just received 96 Derby Shaving Soap sticks and 58 Palmolive shave stick soaps from a friend who has closed his barber shop down, will it be ok in 40 years time or will these shave sticks go rancid and is derby got a better smell than Arko and does it perform better than Arko.

Palmolive have discontinued their stick soap. But with 58 of them, you should be fine for at least 8 years with a daily use.

@@BarberT As you know Palmolive have discontinued their soap stick. That makes Arko soap stick very interesting as an alternative. But every there I look online Arko sticks are very much overpriced. Could you please with your connections and knowledge point us consumers in the right direction for a fair price for a box of Arko sticks?

Mark Szorady Hi Mark, if you can locate a Turkish grocery in your area they will carry this lemon cologne spray, they have various brands but they are all similar, plus they will most likely carry Arko products.
