The partner is “new” to the biological-custodial mother or father, not to the 1 year old baby. They see the new partner as another adult which makes the transition easier for infants than children later along their development stage. There are also situational factors and "arrangements" that a single parent of an infant might be willing to make to separate their parenting and their dating life. They definitely need to discuss it personally and we're not in that position to judge her decision with any confidence as of yet

She said multiple times that she goes out and she likes dating and going out to eat. She recently lost 65 pounds said something about the gym but couldn't really communicate that she goes.
