Once you download the app, it walks you through the very easy set up. The clarity, and range is awesome. I am thinking seriously about adding another camera or two to my 3 camera system. The price is lower than a lot of comparable systems.

Its not the battery i had the same issue. The battery also would not charge. I even have a docking station to charge spares. It didnt matter how you tried to charge it just wouldnt work. The camera would come on but basicly shut down and go "offline" cause the battery was either dead or it thought it was dead. (Calibration issue or firmware issue) When i called tech support he had me to do a series of things which i forgot what the steps was but basicly what you end up doing is forcing the camera to do a factory reset while plugged in with the so called bad battery in it. Once its reset youll remove all power battery and cable let it loose its charge in any circuit 1-2 min then you hook it back up and resync it. Once thats done i believe we forced the camera to update. Once it did the camera restarted and started working fine again and hasnt stopped. The battery also started charging in the camera and the base station so im assuming there is a chip set in the battery. As far as i can remember thats how we did it. Contact arlo support even out of warranty they will still help you. Ive had my pro 2 cameras since 2017 so going on 4 years in a few months. They still work.

Cripes, that's the exact problems I have too. It is dang frustrating and the tech line does nothing to help! I am ready to use my camera set up as target practice, but guess what, Arlo still has my money and what do they care.

same problem. The arlo pro was my friend's and he gave me since he moved. He didn't use or charge it for few months. When I got it, I charge it at the first time and did the setup while pluging in. Everything was great. Once I decided to use it outside and plug it off, it began to be offline! So I think it must be something wrong for the battery. Thx for ur video and others replys. I'm not the only one facing this issue

Same issues... Hmm I two cameras up and a third with a battery that I am rotating between them. I do get issues where i get disconnected. I thought it was the Wi-Fi. Now I will pay closer attention to this and see if this fixes it. "Less than two years old"

My battery’s fine I just can’t get it to go back online and sync. I was messing with it yesterday and it synced up and I don’t know how I did it!!! Now today I hook up the solar panel and go to the app and it’s not online!!! It’s in an area that has good signal from the cell towers. It’s ridiculous there’s no on button to make it synced to the app!!! I guess it just miraculously happens?? It’s been working fine I know it’s not the battery this is BS!! I’ll go back to the app and that sucker will be hooked up and I won’t know how it happened!!! I’ve about had it with Arlo!!! Pain in the butt!!!

I've had the same issue with this same model too. Eventually I got rid of it and got Ring installed instead. Arlo is terrible at re-connecting back to my internet after a power cut anyways.

Thanks for posting I too i’m trying to troubleshoot the same problem, and i thinking that i may have two bad batteries, can you follow up on this and let us know if this fixes the problem, as some people have reported on the arlo site that the problem comes back after battery replacement.

Great video. I am not so sure it is a battery problem. I have two Arlo Pro 4 which are connected to solar chargers and they lose contact. The one battery powered Arlo Pro 4 works great. I too have been having difficulties resyncing and dont even get me started on the garbage home base I bought from them.

You don’t understand how much value have your video.... I currently own 10 Arlos. 4 essentials. With are excellent no complaints Arlo essentials are ab excellent product and I have 6 Arlo pro 3 and this is when I getting bipolar with. Arlo. All cameras hard wired Excellent signal in all So every day one of the pro 3 decide stop recording the cameras take turns to fail and keep me busy,so you have to press connecting make a 2 or 3 seconds manual video and then start working again That is in a good day Or grab a freaking latter disconnect the camera And add the camera again........... as well I have to deal with the off line issue. Every day..........but all these are brand new cameras. About a months and change I am so frustrated because the whole point to have cameras is for you not be worried or stressed or thinking about a non working camera I became an Arlo slave I have called Arlo support more than 6 times, This is a part time, today one pro 3 stop working ( which happens every freaking day ). And for a full hour I attempted to make work and it’s was impossible I gave up. Precisely Today I decided to look for a video about Arlo problems. I read multiple people complaining about this. Tomorrow’s I will try linking the camera without the battery maybe this will resolved my Nightmare and it’s does I’ll will buy you a 🥃 Or your avorite drink and I will ship that to you If not I will be returning the pro 3 and buying essentials I love Arlo essentials never a problem. Great video. I came to the same conclusion. I was able to run Arlo continuously on USB power with the battery removed, but after about a year the camera itself broke down. Arlo products are of very poor quality and cannot be trusted as security solutions.　I am currently choosing a security camera other than Arlo.

Started with one shortly after purchasing 2 camera kit. Down to one camera now simply bc where they are...need to be is high. Takes a special ladder and im...4ft 11in tall. As a Southern woman, i aint skeert but after contacting #Arlo over the 2nd canera doing the same exact thing now.... those Mf cameras can rot for all i care. I will not, ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT ever purchase anything from them. Not to fix. Not to upgrade. NOTHIN. Why. They told me....oh get this. I NEEDED to "purchase" a subscription start up BEFORE they could...WOULD assist me. Might i add, this had been the ONE and only time i ever contacted them. As the offline crap had gotten so bad, logging in and out daily was SO much...about 4 to 6 times at the least. Yes. A Day. Well Arlo doesnt save pins and the app security doesnt allow saving of log in credentials. So needless to say, i too, just like you had to dive pretty hard into an unknown rabbit hole of useless time spent to jus kick back to the old school method of hard wiring. I wont repeat what I laid on Arlos "chat" app but I sure as hell hope and pray that all that "recording for training purposes " IS USED in their lack of "training abilities" as of current. #arlocaneatabagofdicks

Same. Within the last two months in particular....my pro 2s have never given us any kind of trouble...until as of recent. I also cannot comprehend a camera pushed out and retailed to us consumers for indoor/ OUTDOOR usage....BUT. in the fine print. So here. Lemme sell you and Over priced piece of rubber called a " skin " and boast about how is protects and reflects glaring. Puhhhhlease. Their marketing game is laughable. Although I really did like our set up. But recently it has jeopardized alot in daily life. Especially the stupid offline and delay of alot of instances. Shit like this could cost someone their life. And I for one, am not taking anymore delayed chances. And you're right. These batteries are (again) boasted and retailed to us throwing positive slang euphemisms at skyrocketed prices. I bought the Arlo Pro 4 X L w. Smartbase from Costco and hooked it up today following the instructions on Arlo's app. Connection was a gigantic hassle. And, the camera went off line and would not connect. I'm taking the whole package back for a refund. I won't buy anything by Arlo again and shame on Costco for selling this rubbish !

Update. Ok so I have had the original wireless Arlo Pro’s / Netgear for about 5 years now. I have had non stop problems since the beginning and countless hours of wasted time on the phone. When they DO work, it takes about 30-60 seconds to see live remotely. And I have them on from and back with the base station within 15 feet. Often times videos will disappear which is frustrating. And per the subject, goes offline all the time. But now it has been very strange and watching this video, I gave it a shot even though to me, it makes absolutely no sense why bad batteries in one unit would affect the whole thing. I figured the rechargeable at energy batteries may need to be replaced anyways. I did the process of elimination and proved out both camera. And the sets of four batteries have never mixed with the other set. Anyway, when I would sync everything up, all three would be online and then within a minute or so, all three would go down one by one. Swap batteries and same thing. Two more times to prove out any fluke. Over and over, same result. So I left one camera up and has stayed on no problem. I ordered 8 of these and they arrived today - Battery for Arlo Rechargeable, 8... www.amazon.com/dp/B078N7FCHK?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share Both cameras are active and viewing remotely is significantly better. One camera takes about 15-20 seconds to go live, the other less than ten seconds. To me I feel it should be almost instant considering my placement of everything but I’m happy with how they are working now. Doesn’t make sense to me at all. There is something strange with the batteries affecting the whole unit. This was my last ditch effort. So if you have some old rechargeable batteries in there, maybe swap them out. Got nothing to lose. Thanks for posting this and great troubleshooting. Most people would not go to this extent.
