In around April 2020, I got my hands on a fantastic, a very popular, premium home and office security camera system! And it’s turned out to be one of the best I’ve tried and tested so far!

I bought the 3 camera Pro 3 system and have had it for a week. Love it. Your video was spot on! One question... I set up activity zones because I thought I had to. Do you know how I can remove them? I only see a "add new zone" selection. Thanks

It really is that good! I'm so impressed with it, and especially it's battery, which usually can be a pain in most of these home security cameras. I rather spend a couple of extra $£ and invest in a future proof camera system, which is quality, reliable, and gives a great peace of mind.

I know my question sounds funny but I think that when they are placed outside, in addition to suffering from inclement weather, attempts to steal or damage them by criminals

Thank you Patrick. Indeed it is. You do have an option for wired power, with the magnetic cable I have shown in the video, alternatively you can also use a compatible solar powered charger. It cannot be set-up with a Nas system as that is supported wirelessly, however, as demo'd in the video, for the ARLO Pro 3 memory storage, you will need to use a USB hard drive/usb flash-drive, which goes into the USB port at the back of the smart hub. The Nas system is not compatible, unless it can be connected to a USB device. xx

Just purchased the 4 Camera Arlo Pro 3 System. I haven't mounted any cameras yet, but have them all functioning sitting on the counter under the TV. I'm totally amazed at the technology and was wondering how to setup the system for viewing via my Firestick. Alexa just laugh when I ask to see a Arlo camera. So if you can send me a tip on making this possible I would be most appreciative. P.S. Your nails look great...!

Hi, indeed this camera system is incredible, and no doubt that best wireless security camera system I have used to date. You will have to download the Amazon Alexa app on your smartphone, and will have to search for Arlo. Simply follow the on screen instructions and you will be connected in minutes. Excellent video, I have just purchased this product. I noticed they only give you one magnetic mount and 1 screw-in mount. In your video you have your Arlo in the front and garden both screwed in. Did you purchase an extra amount? Also, where would you recommend I install the magnetic mount front or rear? I am concerned the magnetic mount is less secure which means it’s at risk of getting stolen. Can you please share your thoughts on this? Thank you

You May haven mentioned this already but I read that with subscription the videos have 30 days life,I’m seeking further clarification regarding the videos can you then download the ones you want to keep. For example if using to monitor kids and wanting to keep a video for keep sake?

Hi, I have a question, if a owner wishes to not to use the monthly subscription services, I presume you can still view previous a recordings that were stored via on the the ARLO Smart Hub micro SD card? Also I presume you will still receive e-mail notifications without the monthly subscription services?

Hi, yes you can view previous recordings on the SD card. I am not sure about email notifications, not received these before. I usually receive pop up notifications on my smartphone from the Arlo app. I will be sharing a follow up video soon 🤞

If you don’t pay for the subscription, what are your basic recording options? How far back can you go and how far back will the camera save before over lapping ? Is it at least 24 hours ?

30 Days with subscription, and you can also view remotely. However, no subscription, you cannot view any recording remotely, but saves up to 30 days locally, via the memory stick.

No, not at all. That was just a personal preference. I was not intending to use the cameras for long term, but the quality and performance won me over, and I am now on the monthly subscription 😁

You explain everything in such depth and so easy to understand. I had only two questions, one you just answered here about how many people can have access, but how far from the hub can the camera's be placed? This is an OLD brick row house in Boston Massachusetts and we want to place one on the front and the back. Is there a distance limit? Thank you again for your help.

The whole system, however there are rules, under which you can add or remove what the camera does i.e record, do nothing, activate siren - when motion is detected.

Hey i just installed these in my house but each time i try to view them in my phone it wants me to confirm that its me so it sends me a code to my phone which then i have to type in the app to let me view them . How do i stop that ?

I call Bullshit on battery life , The cameras do eat up energy pretty fast . I had my one camera set for motion detection it took like 30 hits and the battery was almost dead.

Well, I have been using mine for around a year now, facing a fairly active road and garden. The battery usually on each lasts me around 2.5 / 3 months, sometime longer. I do have a follow up video in the making, will be publishing soon.

I mentioned this in the video. It's a 3 month free trial / subscription. Mine expired, I tried to make do without it, but went on to renewing it, as the cameras felt pointless without access to the video library, and are too good to replace with anything inferior, such as the video quality on Blink for example. I am now paying £5 per month for 2 cameras, basic package, but this gives me a piece of mind.

@@GlamourGadgetsGamingbyLia sorry meant Arlo fails to mention this. The previous Arlo versions have 7 days cloud storage free. I bought this thinking that I would have the same, but they basically force you to subscribe.

@@markshinjo273 Yes, I am also disappointed that it does not inc. access to the library without subscription, especially when one has paid so much for the system. The camera only gives us alerts of live activity. I have not come across any other system which requires a sub' to access the basics / library. Although I have a CCTV camera system installed, I use the Arlo x2 as a back up, and areas which are not covered. An intruder's visit to my property, a couple weeks ago forced me to pay for the subscription. I may do a follow up vid on this, and might even share info on alternatives.

Hi Mark, yes this is correct but with limitations, hence unfortunately, I had to subscribe. You can use an SD card as I demo'd in my video, on to which all the footage can be recorded and stored. This footage will be overridden once the storage is full. However, as I have been unable to access this footage whilst away from home, and therefore, the Arlo hub, I took out the Arlo subscription. Probably the only disappointment with this already expensive piece of kit. I am working on a follow up video. Do stick around.

Arlo has the worst customer service. I believe they are trying to drop support for older cameras to help sell the new cameras to existing and new customers. Bad practice, again in my opinion.
