I got the game on pc on 1.0 release iv been putting in alot of hours im addicted it has that dayz efffect where you create your own random encounters every time you play stops it being repetitive

But also once you learn most things in dayz.Its gets repetitive unfortunately and feels like the game has nothing much to offer.Which will happen with this game also.Hppe Arma-4 has a good campaign or maybe the remastered ofp campaign.

You have to find a good group and utilize the channels for 5 hrs we played a match and met awesome team mates. Keep trying it gets fun if played right believe me. One of the best military games I've had fun in ever

You just have to lead and give good orders! And get lucky with who’s in your team. It makes it more fun tbh when you finally get that game with everyone taking it seriously

ah fair enough, i really enjoy how unique the gamemode feels compared to other tactical shooters out there now. sadly my working hours don't really mesh well with an organised outfit, if that ever changes i'll be sure to look into it!

So glad they added wind swaying to foliage. Makes it so much harder to just not move your camera and see people hundreds of meters in the distance because their pixels are moving and the tree in front of them isnt lol

Damn that AI is brutal, they either just stand there or run around in the open without shooting, maybe mother Russia only gave each soldier one bullet. Looks pretty though.

hey sir! Awesome video!!! I am a bit new to the game so... this might be a stupid question but, are these milsims PVP or they are VS boots? I am seriously thinking about play this kind of gamestyle, just have been playing conflict until the moment.

For the most part, vs AI, although throughout some operations, the GMs pop in as enemies, just depends. In the recent PMC vid, the snipers were GM controlled at times

One of the most enjoyable parts of the game is being able to include console players! If u do pick it up, I recommend joining a group. My Milsim unit, OUTLAW is actively looking for more members

I downloaded it, but all the servers were over 300 ping and no NA servers came up at all. Anyone else have this issue? I have fiber internet, so I ended up refunding it.

It's fun but no one talks about how servers lag, game crashes, equipment boxes lag, and there's next to no PC players which really shocks me. This is a great game to buy on sale but not worth the full price in it's current state. It shouldn't even be called 1.0, it doesn't feel like it.

@@fergusonthereaver6686m1s most certainly would’ve been used in limited numbers with some units in 1989 it only got taken out of service a few years back + this is a Cold War gone hot scenario the US would’ve 100% been forced to pull old helmets and guns back into service

The first position you saw was the grenade launcher mode. I switched it back to fold it down and only fire primary ammunition.

Too many Chiefs never enough Indians now. Aka To many “pilots” not enough ground units to drop these days. And the comms don’t even get me started on the “taking small arms” “mayday” comm cloggers who constantly have to have their moment of fame for wasting base supply’s every 3-4 mins to get a story on how they keep getting shot down. Orrrr you get dudes who get you killed by hovering over your LZ or where they dropped you letting anyone and anything know you just got dropped there 😂 honestly all in all they need to Limit the Spawns and maybe up the Rank To Lieutenant

I've played Arma all my life, and I really don't like the idea of pursuing better graphics. Arma 2 so far for me had the best gun physics, Arma 3 was a big upgrade but still very bugged in terms of gun play and hit registration. Sadly, everything server sided wasn't upgraded, if not made worse. DayZ got the jumping physics working, but that's the thing: It feels like they're making a new arma with arguably better graphics, and that's it. No new content really. Either modders will do it, or we'll get 2 planes dlc for 10€ along with other nonsense.

It's not just better graphics. It's a newer engine. The old arma 3 engine can't handle the newer CPUs which creates a lot of performance issues. Unfortunately, arma 3 is showing its age, even though arma 3 is the go to milsim/Arma game. Reforger is like a demo of their new Enfusion engine, which is impressive.

Squad is more casual, and with the mods I don't need squad Arma is and always has been the king of mil sims just play one with a group and you'll have 12 hours of good fun. Arma is like d&d but military and squad is just battlefield for big kids.

The game is good in terms of realism, immersion and teamwork... and overall the gameplay is weighted ok, when it comes to gameplay vs inventory etc. But it's nowhere near done, not even close. The in-game progression, isn't good and the lack of achievements creates totally repetitive game. Then there's servers that just crash every 15 mins... the continuous bugs. But most of all, the Xbox optimisation, I know it's a work in progress but with only 30fps in 4k, crap low quality for 60fps, on top of bad buggy servers. It's not next gen at all on Xbox. PC, probably a different story.

Agreed! What strikes me as odd is the ai “regressed” in their abilities with update 1.0. I did not experience the amount of issues with btrs and infantry squads before 1.0. Very peculiar!

Drop shadows down and grass distance, i have a 4090 and a i13900 and with everything maxxed i was getting anywhere from 90 fps to 140fps but lowering those two and keeping everything else max made me stable at 140fps with highs of 180fps so grass and shadows are having a huge inpact
