If this is the start of Dayz to i'm going to be mad excited, when the mod first release i was very sceptical as there wasn't much to it but i must say they are doing a great job so far. adding base building to this would take it to the next level i'm certain of it, great video mate

Originz closed and is no longer actively developing. a new Style server called Plyxables has been made, however the Mods / Admins are idiots, abuse powers and threaten to ban people who follow the rules and call out people who dont LOL, bit of a mess!

i hope the mod devs put lots of zombies in. the original dayz was awesome because you could go from quiet to 50 zombies in a heartbeat if you weren't careful. the new dayz is all about pvp where it's not even a zombie simulator hardly at all.

the current Dayz game has the hardest survival difficult of all Dayz variations ever released. Zombies are very tough, and super hard to fight more than a couple at a time with a melee weapon. If you use a firearm, unless it is silenced, you're to attract every single zombie in a mile towards you.

@@Thorwk1 ive just not had that experience, ive tried the officials and mods that seem to be the vanilla version and compared to the old arma 2 mod version...i'm just like "meh". Literally never died to a zombie only players. *shoots rifle* oh hey...theres 5....lemme lead em around in a small circle...whack...whack...shoot...whack *include some more whacking and shooting* boom they're dead. I just thought they had intentionally made the game mainly pvp focused the zombies are such a non-issue from waht ive seen.

Original DayZ always had a set amount of zombies. They only spawned if there was a player within 100m or so. That's how we used to camp areas, wait for z's to spawn knowing a player was nearby.

@@TheWorldsprayer I've played Dayz since the Arma II mod, and I can say that I have never died to a zombie in the Arma II mod before, but I died at least a handful of times to zombies in the new Dayz.

@@TheWorldsprayer I recommend trying one of the hardcore survival servers with more difficult zombies. Chernarus Has Fallen and Deer Isle Has Fallen have especially difficult zombies, you can still get hurt/cut if you block them, and they rapidly destroy your clothing from attacks. Makes you really consider whether you want to take on a small group of zombies of leave them alone. Even 3 zombies can overrun you if you're not careful, and having 20 after you is crazy!

I bought this game a bit ago and I have to say I’m not very impressed. The graphics “upgrade” seems like it’s trying to blend to styles or looks of the game. The character movement feels off kinda as well. The graphics seem to cartoonish almost and less real than the standalone DayZ. Hopefully they develop it better!

yeah i agree it is very rough around the edges. its basically a mod playground interim for arma 4 i believe. so it will be polished i think over time. but its very fun and having functional vehicles for the most part gives it a leg up and big difference to stand alone

Can you get long and short sticks from a bush? Can you cook some steaks in frying pan or cooking pot? Can you use a gun with no mag? One shot at a time. Can you skin a survivor and eat the human steaks?

If there will be big problems getting BBP or any very commonly used MODS in this Arma Reforger dayz mod/game it will be dead before it takes off. Dayz today is still alive because of MODS. Yeah I know there is a lot of players who only play vanilla. But I think you know what I mean. Even so BBP needs to bring in new stuff to the building genre.. But graphics here looks much better then dayz. I hope them managed to fix lighting effects in this new Arma Reforger game engine :-)

I was one of the OG backers of DayZ and I've tried going back so many times but it's just been shit every time(bugs, crashes etc)and it looks like it's finally what it was supposed to be over a decade later? I've had such a bad taste in my mouth over this game IDK if I'll play it again. Looks much better now though. Rust though is a billion times better though. And what they've done the last handful of years to the game has made it even better than before.

Reforger has physically simulated armor now, it depends if you hit the armor at what range with what caliber and it might not do anyhing

I wish someone would make a DayZ style game not based on anything Bohemia has made. Even though this game is way newer than the original DayZ mod and current standalone, it looks equally as shit. Awful interior lighting, shit animations, same boring ass non-immersive UI, etc.

Never played this Arma but you can't judge one single day on a multiplayer game like this. Try playing early morning weekdays if your in the US , when other countries are off work and toxic US players are at there day jobs lol.

@@H.O.D.Z Well it's just that it's pretty far off given what the title suggests.. I guess it's the server you're playing on though. Ironically it's using things that are not part of core DayZ survival: traders and safezones. Those actually remove the survival aspect, which is supposed to make the journey to being highly geared as difficult as possible. In this scenario you're not a survivor/civilian scavenging for scraps and slowly building your way up, where luck and loot scarcity play a big part, but rather just "soldiers" buying loadouts to go pvp 😏 Also pretty important is that it doesn't seem to really have any post-apocalyptic aesthetic. Everything still looks way too clean. It has to look weathered, grimy etc. or something like that at least. Zombies for sure would help in that regard though make the theme more believable. The loot spawn system (CLE) is a big part of survival as well, so I wonder if the mod has something similar at all. Other than that, the non-gimped Enfusion engine is nice to see here compared to DayZ.

No zombies, no hunger, no thirst... But 1,000 videos repeating the same thing, even though there are 2,000 of you in the game haha. It's empty, it's lame, it's poor, it's buggy and it's not even well animated... Arma 2 Dayz is better

@@redshift912 Arma 3 for example, the base game has had enough content for a long time to be playable, the community has a base to bring the game to life with the workshop but in reforger there is nothing, it's terribly sad being given the freshness of the new physics engine..
