All good thoughts, brother. I think that Insha Allah, if the focus is much more on mass production, range and accuracy with a small, armour piercing round or mini tandem charge (like the Yassin shell) as the payload (but smaller), you could potentially mass produce and fire these missiles in bursts, like bullets. If there was even a little steering provided, and guidance made exterior (e.g. beam-riding) and provided from long range via drone, there would be a good chance at hitting and doing damage, if not to the carrier, then to cruisers or destroyers. These long range “guided bullets” would not be easily detectable, and even if they were, they would overwhelm the anti-missile missile batteries. Even if they do not do much damage to the hull, they could potentially incapacitate some of the aircraft on the carrier or many of its sensors or comm units. I am thinking along the lines of ramjet rockets, fired from Gatling gun or mini Gatling. I know it’s impractical at this stage, but working on thinking it through. What I really want to see from the Middle East is a big breakthrough on providing cheap, accurate and reliable anti-air defences which guerilla fighters can use. You would think that after the Gulf War, Bekaa Valley, Libya, Afghanistan, Yemen, Syria and Iraq (again), we’d figure out that the West really, REALLY loves bombing us from high above, and work on finding reliable and dependable solutions, fit for purpose and budget…but we seem to like these suicide runs a lot more.

@@OkayRocket30660 during war time and hostile activities the aircrafts carriers group of what is temporarily called the united states of america usually deployed at least a few hounded kms from the opposing forces shores, this limiting the types of ground launched missiles systems can be used to attacking them or at least to be harassed with fire, the maximum ranges having a very strong influence on the size of the Anti ships missiles either cruise missiles or ballistic missiles... each aircraft carrier have missile destroyers as an escorts ships and each one of those destroyers carrying 96 vertical launched missiles in edition to a conventionally launched sea sparrow system, all of them are creating or forming a multi layered integrated air defense/ anti ballistic & cruise missiles shield, each set of those vertical launched system (VLS) carrying a number of standard missiles designed and assigned to negotiate the ballistic/cruise missile each at certain altitude with small margin of editional engagement capabilities, all the attacking concept or the ambush plan should be executed or conducted while the enemy vessel's on the continuous motion to escape the killing zone of anti ships missiles, so it's not a fix target's... to exhaust those missile's destroyers you will need a lots of ASMs to pressure those destroyers forcing them to take defensive posture in order to protect them self, before try to execute its main tasks of defending the aircrafts carriers, because sinking or disabling any escort missile destroyers or frigates will creat a hole in the aircrafts carriers group defensive capabilities especially the anti ballistic shield, while, attacking the aircrafts carriers using anti ships ballistic missiles and hypersonic and supersonic cruise missiles by it self is not a huge issues because it is lacking the advanced multi layered and complex anti-cruise and ballistic missiles shield, possess by the escort missile's destroyers, beside it is much bigger target's with bigger radar and infrared signature's in edition to it is considered slower and more difficult to manoeuvres compared with the other smaller combat vessels... for multiple reasons attacking those missiles destroyers is very difficult tasks compared with attacking aircraft's carriers... Yasin HEAT round with 650mm to 750mm penetration possess a limited destructive capabilities, they need to integrate the 9m133 kornet ATGM (9K135) warhead as main destructive elements on the ballistic missiles cluster warhead, the guided cluster ammunition could weight 10kg at maximum with 4.6kg warhead, with a range of 500 to 750 km, this will means launching or releasing 50 guided anti armor cluster ammunitions with penetration capabilities of 1100 to 1300mm or 110cm to 130cm of rolled homogeneous armor (RHA) above the aircrafts carriers hitting the flying decks and the islands, while utilizing unguided kornet warhead the number of anti tank cluster ammo would increase to 100 sub-ammo, in the same time designing a specialized anti-armor HEAT warhead with diameter of the ballistic missiles warheads, where most short range ballistic missiles warheads is more than 900mm in diameter and 500kg in payloads (compared with the152mm diameter and 4.6kg weight of the (9K135) kornet warhead), I think this will ensure inflicting disabling hit to the flying decks, and the warhead could penetrate the deck and reaches vital parts of the aircrafts carriers especially the nuclear reactors... after excluding the role of escort ships with its advanced defensive shield, by using the reconnaissance, surveillance and targeting drones or recon-strike assets for guidance and illuminating the enemy ship for laser ridding ammos this would insure the successful targeting of enemy aircraft carrier... again attacking the aircrafts carriers is easier tasks but the successful penetrating of its defensive perimeter is the problem, although it is difficult and costly but for sure not impossible...

@@LIONIQ-foxhound Carriers house other, better means of protecting against drones and missiles: planes. There are always several in the air for early warning, or to do the kind of long range recon you spoke of. So one way or another, you are up against ships that will defend themselves. This can be solved, as I mentioned, by trading payload for quantity, speed and smaller unit size. Range and accuracy are definitely still problems, although accuracy can be offset somewhat by dispersing the “drone bullets” in such a way as to cover a larger area simultaneously. For range, these may have to be launched from a larger sea-going or airborne drone launch vehicle. More later.

@@OkayRocket30660 the carriers it self lacking any ASBM although some air defense system on board those carriers could possess very limited anti ballistic missiles capabilities... the main defensive line or the first protection layer or echelon of the aircraft carriers for countering hostile activities either figter aircraft's or anti-ships cruise missiles is the fighter interceptors conducting Caps missions patrolling above and in the vicinity of the carrier's group deployment and operation sites, the aircraft carrier as combat ship do not possess the necessary surface lunched fighting assets to protect itself even from older generations of high superersonic cruise missiles with a larger radar cross-section, such as the Russian P-270 Moskit, P-700 Granit, Kh-22 "Storm,P-500 Bazalt, it relies on the fighter air wings it's carrying to protecting the carrier from the salvos of long range cruise missile which was the main threat beside the underwater torpedoes before the introduction of the Anti ships ballistic missiles... the swarms of small drones with total weight of 5kg with useful payloads ranging between 1kg to 500gram of cumulative warheads (HEAT) and maybe with 10 km range, could be packed in bundles and delivered through ballistic missiles warheads, the total number depends on the warhead payloads for example 1000kg warhead payloads theoretically it could deliver 200 small suicide drones, for a ballistic missiles ranges between 500 to 1000km (even for older ballistic missiles with range of 300 km this comparable with the current generation anti-ships cruise missiles), those swarms of small suicide drones attacking from various direction should be sufficient to overwhelm the aircrafts carriers and destroying or seriously damaging the aircraft's parking on the flying deck and degrading its combat capabilities by damaging the sensorying suits, or those swarms of suicide drones to be launched against the escort vessels especially missile cruiser and destroyers especially the arleigh burke class equipped with the aegis combat system, overwhelming the CIWS by negotiating the target's simultaneously from various direction and either suppressing the onboard spy series radar systems and other sensor's and successfully blinding the vessel preparing or weaking or softening the target's to enabling the second wave of anti ships missiles to reach those ships and the carriers freely, or distributing the task between destroying or seriously damaging thus degrading the : CIWS, the spy series radar systems, and attacking the 96 vertical launching cells... what you are saying ignoring the height of the aircrafts carriers, its impossible to put the carriers with the range of small caliber guns, beside minimizing the sir breathing ramp jet engine's is very difficult tasks, this why they used rockets engines for small missile's... the sea drones (depends on its useful payloads capabilities) could be equipped with mlrs firing salvos of laser guided rockets for ranges exceeding the 10km and with armor piercing warhead or equipping those sea drones with 4 or 8 tubes of 9m133 kornet EM ranging between 8 for ATGM variant and 10 km for the thermobaric warhead, although the height of the carriers still a barrier for the effective employment of the latter type of ammunitions, but for the ATGM with penetration capabilities of 1.30 meter of RHA (single round designed for destroying main battle tanks), 8 missiles attacking the same point or multiple points with multiple missiles, I think it could inflict serious damage on the vessels hull and could flooding even the carriers with water... الموت لأمريكا الموت لاسرائيل اللعنة على اليهود النصر للاسلام...

@@LIONIQ-foxhound “impossible to put the carriers within the range of small calibre guns…” Which is why I suggested the Gatling cannon, modified to fit in a rocket/drone. It’s the autocannon used by fighter jets for short range combat instead of missiles. It has a shorter range only because its shells are not rocket-powered. And its rate of fire is MASSIVE. Ramjet powered shells can massively increase the range of a shell fired by the Gatling cannon. See videos on Ramjet artillery, which will becoming soon and can reach up to 100 km with accuracy. The challenge is that Ramjet engines are only efficient at Mach 1 or higher. Which means that on standard missiles, they will not be very efficient until the missile has built up enough velocity. However, for fired shells, which achieve instant Mach 1 or higher upon firing, they will be very efficient. The issue would be ensuring any instrumentation on each shell would not be affected by firing, but that’s not an unreasonable challenge to solve. Worst case scenario, they can be fired by the “Gatling rocket” as close to the target ship as possible with no instrumentation and dispersed over a wider target area.
