Me and my mom like to joke that a bearded dragon we used to have was related to one of these fancy lizards. She loved to curl into a ball, holding her tail with her front legs when she wanted attention or to splash in the water in the tub, not exactly normal beardie behavior by any means but she was extremely healthy by all means until we got overwhelmed by people dumping dragons on us and had to give almost all of them away. A year later Maggie was returned to us, impacted with paper towel bedding and having had been fed only romaine lettuce since the people got her, leading to MBD, so now she was this elderly hunchback dragon that loved hugs, berries, fruit, hornworms, and the water but couldn't curl up anymore or move fast at all, which is why she loved the water, it let her move freely again till she eventually passed

I have two bearded dragons one small one named raptor cuz he looked like a raptor from drastic park and a big one named lizzy she was given to us by one of my dads friends because the kids had a snake to take care of and they didn’t pay attention to her any more so he couldn’t handle how she was just sitting in her cage not being played with so she was given to us(she’s 3 years old) but she’s happy where she is right now she loves the water and loves roaming around the house and outside she’s very happy alongside with raptor ❤ I love them so much tho they can be a hand ful tho 🥲

I wish they would stop selling these animals to just anyone. I feel like there should be a application. And you have to be pre approved before you can bring home a exotic pet. So much neglect of these type of animals in the world 😢

@@sweetox_9690 I take very good care of lizzy and raptor and yes I agree it’s just so sad about how they give them away like Pokémon cards but my bearded dragons have a good home here and I will never ever give them away cuz they remind me of my dead dog tiny who past a year ago😞❤️

Sungazer lizards do that tail thing. And they are illegal to expo rt. Spinytailed lizards are not. Still cool lizards tho

I remember this little guy from years ago due to a Tumblr post. All the posters were gushing about how it was a baby dragon! And they were like "no baby dragon, don't eat your own tail!!" A real kick ass animal.
