Check out this Southern Three-banded Armadillo at the Cleveland Zoo. The conservation status of this armadillo is: Near Threatened.
Their zoo diet includes yams, carrots, nuts and insects. In the wild they eat primarily ants and termites, but introducing those loose in the building would not be acceptable. .
