How fast was the ship going? I'm glad you guys kept the kids safe. I've seen a video of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami hitting Malaysia, and the children nearly drowned or could have been crushed by a car that was floating by,

t's normal ! There is a suction effect in front of the ship from its mass ! When it passes we really feel this effect and once it has passed, the water comes back !!! You have to be very careful because it can be very dangerous !!!

I think the correct question is why the ships travel so fast in such a confined shipping channel? If they passed through more slowly, return of the water wouldn't be as bad.

A10PANG and 1Shignog why are you hateful like that. It is clear to me that they were not in distress and were expecting it. Maybe they went there for just that reason. I just do not understand why people insult and call people horrible names. Uncalled for .

Great question A10PANG! The answer is because we’re completely nuts. My in-laws are bat shit crazy which makes my wife bananas because it’s hereditary. Honestly, I’m a little coo coo too. So, that’s why.
