I once saw Sir Anthony Hopkins buying milk once in his pajamas at a 7-11. It was so moving I cried for an hour in my car, contemplating the very nature of the human condition. The man is a professional no matter what he does.

The movie is misinformed, because part of it's premise says "The private school in which the boy is to be enrolled at is run by Maryanne Trump (Oldest sis of Don Trump)". There is no evidence to corroborate that, because Maryanne Trump went to law school & held various related jobs in the judicial area from 1973 all the way to 2019.

I’m not black but my husband is, my two sons are half and I can only imagine how it would’ve been for them around this time. Can’t even have a white friend and associate with them in public or private. How so much time was wasted hating a race, wasting your life ruining another that couldn’t help be born who they were and the way they were. Seeing this trailer just kinda got my soul hurting a bit just thinking and trying to put myself in someone’s shoes 🥺😔

Yes, "Armageddon Time"'s Fred and Maryanne Trump Scene Really Happened. Director James Gray based his new movie "Armageddon Time" on a true story about his youth growing up in Queens in 1980 in a Jewish family. I was raised catholic same time period same economic class a little lower actually and it's, all the same, my beatings were usually organized, scheduled, and anticipated hours before the physical and verbal assaults began on me and my brother. One event included the sound of my brother's entire body bouncing off his bedroom wall was horrifying. That was cathartic, thanks for letting me share.

I got caught up in this trailer and thought, "wow, this looks really good. I can't wait to see it." Then I realized that I was actually there and this isn't how it was in some important ways. I went to these types of schools in New York in the 1980s, and the people running those schools were people of high moral character whose intention was to cultivate good citizens and good leaders that would be a positive influence on society. They would never be so crass as to publicly cast aspersions on people who get "hand outs". In fact, they themselves were giving aid to low income students who could not be there any other way. Charitable activities and altruism were encouraged. School leadership did not encourage ideas of elitism, in reality the exact opposite was true. The school leaders and educators did not come from the ranks of the elite themselves, they dedicated their lives to bettering the lives of children and young adults, usually for moderate to low salaries. There were a number of black kids at the school and they were embraced fully by the white and asian students with only rare exceptions (by their own testimony). Many of these kids have gone on to have quite impressive, illustrious careers. Of course, there were many bratty and spoiled kids attending the school also. I just felt the need to write a reminder that this movie is a made up story coming from the mind of a writer, it's not a historical account. (as far as I know.) From the looks of the trailer the story has a certain point of view and may serve to perpetuate certain ideas that aren't necessarily helpful. I look forward to seeing the movie nevertheless and I hope it will be a positive influence on the world. Anthony Hopkins and Anne Hathaway look incredible!

My parents have given me a lot of gifts over the years. One of the most valuable is to not be a racist. At all. I grew up primarily on military bases, which to my memory were always integrated. I can’t imagine how drab my life would have been to have to exclude huge swaths of the population for an AH reason like racism. I really hope this movie delivers on the promise of the trailer.

@@gadaffi1000 I'm a security guard. They have us use night vision optical, we patrol (up & down the stairs), a guard in projection booth to make sure no piracy occurs. Keep in mind, not all entities hire security to do this Sooo, bootleg movies still exist.
