For once, a guy giving full credit to Makhachev's skillset without looking for excuses. What a change ! For Arman's trainer, to say something like that about a guy that Arman's already fought in the past, that means Makhachev is a freaking beast and that he's improved tremendously since 2019. Arman is the #1contender at 155 lbs by a mile, and his coach is saying stuff like that...That should be demoralizing for the other contenders. No wonder Makhachev is -500 favorite against Poirier...

First guy speaks facts and is truthful, Islam dominated a charles olivera that was on a win streak and nobody thought could do. Islam dominated and subbed him out. Where as arman struggle and had too many openings. And ended the fight getting choked by charles. Only won via split decision, could call it a robbery

Arman is blessed to have a good coach. Right now he is probably the one with the highest chance to beat Islam, but if he fights Islam now than he would be truly relying on chance to win. Volk wasn't blessed with the same realistic coaches. Such talent, wasted by fools.

I think Arman is a future lightweight champion, but just after Islam's reign. Arman is super talented but I just don't see him beating Islam. But who knows for sure? MMA is an unpredictable sport sometimes.

i mean i agree with everyones statement except for mokaevs arman faced stylistically harder and even better opponents than Islam , islams only advantages are that he has more 5 round fights and that he is in his prime whilst arman isn't there yet imagine arman in 5 years facing Islam,clearly Islam wouldn't have a chance, for a reason they wanted to face arman without a full training camp islams time is passing and armans times yet to come

Arman faced "harder and even better opponents than Islam" ? Tell me who ? Last time i checked, Arman's best opponent was Islam...By far. They both fought Oliveira and Davi Ramos; Islam finished Oliveira in 7 minutes and whooped Ramos with a 30-26 decision. Arman won by the skin of his teeth vs Oliveira and won a boring a** decision vs Ramos. Arman couldn't get the nod vs Gamrot, had a tough time with Aubin-Mercier, and Joaquim Silva almost knocked him out. And don't tell me Dariush, Frevola and Giagos are bad matchups for Islam. Dariush is a smaller, slower, less technical version of Charles Oliveira. Giagos is a prelim fighter, and Frevola is just a "bum version" of Benoit St-Denis: A short, stocky wrestler with heavy hands who can only fight in a phonebooth. Arman's biggest accomplshment in the UFC so far was winning the 2nd round vs Islam in St-Petersburg, back in 2019. FACTS.

There wasn't any "bulls*** conditions"; just people craping their pants and refusing to show up. Ask Beneil Dariush & Charles Oliveira about that... Tsarukyan lost to Gamrot and fought a bunch of mid-tier opposition, just like Islam did when he was climbing up the rankings. Nothing crazy. People just love to s*** on Makhachev for no reason and make up false narratives just to put the "Dana White privilege" stamp on his forehead. Tsarukyan beating Frevola by decision isn't impressive. St-Denis took him out in 2 minutes. Tsarukyan beating Ismagulov the way he did isn't impressive. Dawson did it better. Tsarukyan fighting for his life vs Silva isn't impressive. Tsarukyan getting outworked by Gamrot isn't impressive. Tsarukyan wrestle-f***** Aubin-Mercier for 3 rounds isn't impressive. Tsarukyan barely surviving vs Oliveira isn't impressive. Makhachev sent Oliveira back to the Bronx in under 2 rounds. Once again, facts.

That’s called being objective, based on the performances these two fighters put out on display. In Arman’s case, his coach has additional insight regarding his skills, apart from what we saw in official fights. Nobody is saying Arman has zero chance of winning, they’re talking about probability. If Arman immediately takes the fight against Makhachev, his chances of losing is higher. Doesn’t mean that he doesn’t have potential to improve his game in the future. If you can’t understand simple case of ‘probability’, perhaps you are the idiot..

Arman was not impressive at all in that fight to be honest. He does showed his heart and that's impressive but charles was literally catching him big. I was not impressed with his performance. If gaethjea would have beat max I'm 1000% sure dana would have given gaethjea shot at islam. Arman need more than a year. Except for his dariush win none of his wins has domination. His boxing skills are embarrassing to watch he just throws with no vision and his ground and pound isn't impressive at all.

This is simply not true. Arman couldn't deal with Gamrot's striking...His face looked like a pizza after that fight... "Heavy hands"...Only if you can reach your target... He couldn't land a glove on Islam. Just because he knocked out Dariush doesn't mean he's a bigger threat than he was back then. Dariush has no head movement and he can only fight moving forward. Arman's chin got tested by Joaquim Silva; remember ? He had to "panic-wrestle" to stay in this fight...
