I used to do this kind of work many years ago. At that time, I used to work at an electrical repair shop at a mining company, and we had to do a lot of electrical maintenance and repairs. When you do a rewinding of a motor or armature, you must use the exact gauge copper wire, and after you have finished the winding, the item must be placed inside a vacuum chamber and only then the varnish was released into the pressure vessel, that action in turn, would coat all the wires and the armature itself completely through. After a period of time, you removed the armature from the vacuum chamber and placed the armature inside an industrial oven to dry. Afterward, when it was completely dry, you tested the continuity of the winding, cleaned up the contact area where the wires were secured to the armature, and finally assembled the motor. I do believe this guy does a fantastic job with the basic hand tools and rudimentary shop machines that he has at his disposal. Unfortunately, I don't think this armature will last long because of the way it was repaired. However, I can't blame the worker since, as a worker, you must do everything you can with what you were issued as tools or parts.

At first I read this as "Amateur rewinding". Before checking my dyslexia, I was about to come and comment a contradiction. Nothing "Amateur" about this work, regardless of tools and environment. This ARMATURE rewinding is done with craftsmanship. Real professional.
