Actually, he's wrong: the dam was built in 1932, but the waterfall is not artificial, it was there since forever. If it's not very dry there's usually a bit of water coming down, but the whole flow is opened only four times a year to attract tourists! (Btw it's full of hiking trails around there, highly recommended to visit!)

do you know where to find it? I’ve been looking for the first cut forever.
@tuuliamoors4134
@tuuliamoors4134 5 жыл бұрын
@@kate-cg5ty It's not available anywhere, so there's no point looking for it. There is no actual alternative, finished, longer movie. First cuts, as a rule, are not released (or just floating around somewhere to be found by persistent members of the public). The material is edited, and only then released, like with books etc. There's first an unfinished version of every movie, and eventually the movie is released in its finished version, after the normal process of film making. Imagine a sculpture being made, first a block of material, eventually a piece of art, sculpted by the artist. Luca sculpted the piece of art for us to admire - that is the finished film. The mythical 4 hour cut some fans talk about was the block he started the sculpting from (not by himself, he had help, like Walter Fasano, but you get the idea).

We're getting this CMBYN content now in October 2019 because the first sequel book is to be released in a few days (29th) and the sequel movie is in progress. It takes up from where the first movie left off, which was two thirds the way through the first book. That way they haven't had to wait for the actors to age so much.

He paused for a second or so when the “mystery of love“ song came up, I get that feeling too. That gorgeous waterfall scene with Sufjan’ s music is just breathtaking. BTW, if you haven’t listened to the CMBYN audio book yet, please do. Armie’s voice is perfect. I’ve listened to it at least ten times and still counting. I guess I’ll never move on and I’m fine with it.

@Baa 123 I've written them before and never heard anything back. It was about Brokeback Mountain and I think Focus Features is very reluctant to let Criterion touch their intellectual property. Criterion and Sony Picture Classics seem to have a good relationship. Indeed, they might release CMBYN along with Luca's two other movies that make up his "Desire Trilogy." They released all three of the "Before" films at one time as well. Both the "Before" trilogy and the "Desire" trilogy were Sony Picture Classics. That said, I think it will be several years before the "Desire" trilogy gets the Criterion treatment. I think Armie should make a full commentary recording for the entire movie now while his memories are still fresh. His commentary can be used later.

I saw this in theater 3 times and all 3 times you could hear a pin drop for *MINUTES AFTER* the credits finished. Everyone just sat in silence.. No one packed up a bag or shuffled around. I sat there with tears streaming down my face and I'm sure everyone else did too... And no one talked as they left the theater either. I'm 💯 percent serious about this. No exaggeration.. but I think most of us would believe it. It's so powerful.. Almost too powerful in such an incredible way. It will be a film that people will still watch in 50.. 60.. 70 years.. It will stand the test of time, no doubt.. Like Shindlers List or Casablanca. It's 4am and I saw a reply to a comment when I woke up and plugged in my phone.. And now I'm off to watch it.

@Hasiger Hase three months ago Armie recited the poem Valentine, it's on KZfaq you can find it easily, if you watch it you'll understand who is it about.......three months later few days ago he got a divorce. After the poem Timmy wrote on a post "yours forevermore" and deleted it. Also there is an interview Where Armie openly admits that "I fall in love with Timmy more and more each day every time i see him". In every interview since then whenever they are asked about each other they both say i just saw him yesterday, or we were just talking on the phone moments ago. You have to watch every post production and promotion interview they did and you'll understand that they are crazy about each other.....even when they try to hide it.

It's an invaluable insight into the movie making, showing us how the seemingly effortless and 'easy looking' (no martial arts, shouting, cars colliding, CGs, lengthy monologues, etc) scenes like this actually take SO MUCH hard work and perseverance from all parties. And you can really see that Arnie Hammer - forget what haters say about his privileged background - is a real professional. GQ, or anyone, really ought to do a serious series of this.

I have never been to Italy but it made feel as if I was going along the journey of the 2 men who fell in love in the summer of 1983, somewhere in Northern Italy. :')
