'Great Spirit’ was made in collaboration with Israel’s Vini Vici and Hilight Tribe in 2016, and I never thought it would go on to sell certified gold in Sweden. I ended up playing this track on almost every big festival throughout the summer season, mainly as a mash-up between the original record and the remix version from Wildstylez. It was one of the first tracks I did that drew inspiration from the Psy-Trance scene. Lots of great memories!

Armin Van Buuren vs Vini Vici feat. Highlight Tribe (Live at the Best of Armin Only-I admit that I am fortunate to have actually first heard this distinctive trance tune that is Great Spirit by Armin Van Buuren & Vini Vici feat. Hilight Tribe around the summer of 2017 unexpectedly online. One of the factors that I confess drew to hearing this song multiple times was the well timed vocals with what sounds to be a blend of Native American music elements mixed with trance and club elements. I keep an open mind to listening to music/songs of various genres including indigenous music of North America (Native American culture music)even though I sometimes occasionally and unexpectedly come across such music online. There is something about this Great Spirit song that also combines elements of trance, new age, and futuristic music elements. However, please bear with me in the fact that I admit to having only a little knowledge of Native American culture/music even with me being partially Menominee Indian (I inherited the Native American/Menominee Indian ancestry from both my late maternal biological grandmother and late biological mother who were enrolled on the Menominee Indian tribal rolls).
