Today, Armin van Buuren started sharing a very personal documentary about the early days of his musical career. The six-episode story takes viewers on a ride through the mind of the five-time #1 DJ in the world himself as he gives a unique insight into his life as an artist, from his days as a curious toddler to the struggles and insecurities he faced as an emerging artist. In the end, it all culminates in the ‘The Best Of Armin Only’ show at the Johan Cruijf ArenA in Amsterdam on May 12 and 13, his biggest show to date.
Episode 4 of ‘Mr. Perfect’ features Armin’s brother Eller, who shared the stage with him during several ‘Armin Only Shows’. The episode also focusses on the early days of Armin van Buuren’s A State Of Trance radio show, which went on to become one of the biggest, globally syndicated dance music radio shows today.

Great documentary... But they do not mention one of his main assets for his tremendous success. He always has a kind of SMILE on his face... He always projects being a nice, friendly and happy person who enjoys a lot what he is doing. And this kind of attitude and charisma helps you a lot in life. I am surprised no one mentioned this fact. To me this is his biggest asset together with his passion and obsession, hard-working life for music. Keep Smiling Armin !!!!!

I loved seeing Armin sitting at the piano, struggling at his lessons. Not for his struggle, but for the irony of how much technology has liberated his vision and allowed him to soar even within his own limitations. Armin is the perfect poster boy for how today's musical technology is so powerful that it can give anyone with vision and persistence their own voice. What an amazing time we live in!

At 12:27 Well being a fan of Armin Since Serenity (Since 2005), I have never felt that Armin should only produce one genre. In 2009 i wondered what would happen if armin were to produce, you know pop music or something like that. I have always been curious. yes i have seen people calling armin "Trouse Musician" but i always felt like they were unfair about him

I think when many people say about that he shouldnt do nothing but trance is because armin fits into trance. its like clothes, some do look good in a suit, some dont. some are better of wearing sportswear because it fits them and describes them. so its about the music aswell. Well, I dont care what he does and expirments, its up to him. But I think that trance fits him and he should continue making and playing trance. its been now over 10 years ive been listening to trance and I must say, the older songs have more stories to tell and were no cheap productions like today... today people spam these bangers... and if you dont spam every month, people would start listening to someone else. this is bad for art. trance is art, so many elements are put into a track. emotions you can feel. And I think its time to go back in time and make trance from that time but with todays technology.
