Honestly, I just rolled in with double flamethrowers and held both triggers down screaming for several minutes and it somehow worked itself out

For anyone else who struggled with this: use the verill tetrapod legs to hover a long time, use gattling gun(save it for the end but use it on helicopters out of range), use flamethrower, double songbirds(aoe to take out all the little guys and stagger boss and take out ranged rocket enemies on the ground that will lock onto you), pulse armor, save your repairs for the boss and hover/sit above the giant wreckage in the center. Enemies cannot hit you there, and boss will occasionally come up. When he does use the songbirds to stagger him plus machine gun. He will go back down to heal and you get time to recharge everything. By the end i ran out of ammo so i just used the rest of my songbirds and flamethrower to kill the last few guys. Probably an easier way than this but im stubborn and it worked 😞

Omg thank you so much! I used my tank build but the weapons you used were what helped me complete mission after I dunno 30 tries Ugg I was able to finish mission with barely ammo. My build I kept running out and the weapon you used had an awesome AOE which tremendously helped

this one is an absolute blast, so intense and satisfying when you manage to clear it, even if it means you had to punch the last of them and on 1 AP

This helped me put so much. Nothing else worked for me, but after 3 tries (the first 2, I forgot to equip assault or pulse armor) I finally completed this. Tysm

Found an easy strat. Use dual plasma missile and rifle, and spring chicken for legs. With the aorta engine, just keep straf jumping around the middle area and use your missiles to clear the random enemies. Once you’ve cleared out the rando, start focusing on the 3 large MTs. Usually your actions will cause them to glitch into a spot and get stuck; this is when you just unload into them (while still playing it safe) With that, all you will have left is Michigan. From there, just keep up the same strat, and exploit moments when Michigan glitches. If that fails, just circle and missile. That works too

Just wanted to say thnx for the tips, I beat it for the first time today cuz of it, and I found that maxing out AP got me through, and twin gatling guns plus duel songbirds should give you just enough to beat Michigan at the end...

Went in with the heaviest Arquebus bipedal (including the Easter Island head, could slap some funny decals on it with the right colors), Arquebus VP-20D generator, double needles and double plasma rifles. Specked every OS chips into damage reduction, direct hit dmg and recovery packs. Just like in the video guide...hopping around, one shoting ads and then lured him inside the starting room (seeing him trying to dodge my needles and getting stuck in corner, thinking how the turns have tabled felt nice😅) worked out first try. Enjoyed the banter between the red guns, Michigan was right that they were at disadvantage. One moment they were all talking and cracking jokes and few minutes later..there was no more talking😂

I love how they give you precisely 0.00dick seconds before the next waves start showing up. This was a good tutorial, btw. Much appreciated.

Man, what a close fight. I ragequit after I killed Michigan but then they say that you need to kill the rest of the MTs 💀. Is the needle really his weakness? I'll try killing all the mobs first but I'm afraid my setup will run out of ammo before Michigan.

I used a songbird a 6 cell rocket launcher and 2 of the smaller bazookas. When enemies were far from each other I used the multi lock of the rocket launcher and when they were closer to each other I blasted them with the other 3 explosive weapons.

Finally did this! I had to use dual songbirds on shoulders and the LR-037 Harris on each arm. this help me 1-2 shot all the little minions, drones etc. and I could use songbirds for the mediums and heavies. All my other kits ran low on ammo. Also the tetrapod is a must lol

2x Bad Cooks and 2x Laser Turrets on a med/heavy tetrapod build worked for me after being stuck for long time. Also calibrate your OS chips as needed and take out helos.

Took a few tries but 2x flamethrowers - needle and songbird did the trick- and I just used my high health tank build

beat it first try after I watch your video, thanks! I thought they were going to keep throwing trash AC on me so I kept trying DPS rush the boss, but it turns out that is just too much damage for my light frame AC to handle.

Finally got it. In short you wanna save the v3-60 ammo for Michigan and the mini boss in the third wave. Once you kill the mini boss in the third wave make Michigan the priority trying to get direct hits on him with the v3-60 while taking out the smaller bots whenever you can once the second mini boss shows up try and keep him and Michigan separated and focus on Michigan once he dead take out the mini boss then the smaller bots.

This was a bitch on wheels mission, but doable! My loadout was 2x Songbirds, Minigun, Flamethrower, DF-BD-08 Core and Fortazella Legs/Treads for both tankiness and ground mobility, but you need to use the kick to conserve ammo! Had 5k hp left, no health kits, no main ammo and 12 Songbird bits of ammo left by the end of it.

After like 10 attempts this set of weapons did it for me. Fucking subscribed

Hands down hardest mission in the game. They just keep coming and coming, 2 mid heavies, 1 major heavy....that regenerates health. Completed it but.....WTF man.

The ammo cost of this mission is so staggering, I almost got chainsawed by rummy.

Just target lock Michigan when he shows up, treat it like a 1v1, and pray for the best. That’s how I beat this mission without changing my build too drastically.

This is actually the hardest mission in the game for me... not ibis not the final bosses but this shit

I feel like I’ll never pass this mission

This mission is so fucking ridiculous and so obvious they didn't game test this shit. You should be able to beat this mission with any build you'd like. But no, Fromsoft insists yet again that I change my build into something specifically OP just to get through the game. I'm doing exactly what you're doing in my own medium-to-lightweight AC with plenty of impact damage and firepower. I understand the game just fine, it's not user error...it's the programmed situation that severely limits my options. You either waste all your ammo on taking on the ADS in this fight and you don't have enough ammo to drain Michigan's FOUR HEALTH BARS....or you unload everything you can into Michigan just to get him to stop using his unnecessary number of repairs while the ADS quickly drain your health. Thus forcing you to do as much damage as possible in the shortest period of time....which is way too little time. Looks like I'm going to have to use some cheap OP build to get through this shit again, even though I'm doing exactly what the game wants from me on my current AC to the T. Just another example of how From Software will blindly throw shit at the player without considering what limited options they've given the player to even do anything against this shit. Either they game test, but they dont take any constructive criticism seriously. Or they straight-up do not game test. Even most Souls Vets I've seen in this comments section took up to 2 days dealing with this mess of a mission. Eventually you have to have the self-awareness to realize it's not a skill issue when it's literally bullshit. Especially given the horrible factors they've programmed into the situation you're put in. I thought From Software games were all about taking what they've taught you and using that knowledge to take on these kinds of challenges in a fair and cohesive way. Nowadays, From Software games wants you to feel like you're doing everything they've taught you to do while you're barely surviving off of those same perfected tactics.

Holy sh*t, this mission. I almost had a heart attack running away from the two remaining super aggro quadripeds with just a handful of songbirds and rocket lance left. Had to play hide and seek with the bastards since taking Michigan out used up all my repair kits. I really disliked Michigan’s character and voice acting before the mission. After playing the mission a dozen times, I absolutely detested him.

So I beat this mission using only 1 repair kit, with 2x Songbirds and 2x Ransetsu. Tons of ammo remaining. A RANK!?!?!? Then I did it again BUT using 2 repair kits, with 2x Stun Needles and 2x Machine Guns. Almost no ammo remaining. S RANK!?!?!? God there's so much wrong with this game and the ranking system is one of them.

Just gona throw this out there but the punch is super OP against ACs. You could have saved yourself some trouble by stun locking him with the punch and sword once you lost the plasma rifle.
