yes. but they need to lock on - that takes time and correct FCS. Some downside is there.

People have trouble dodging the truenos since they're guided missiles, and not just needles. So they fall for it

from my personal experience, the two builds should be played differently and not comparable directly, with zim stun needle u stagger with zim mainly then unleash the big damage with stun needle, but trueno can do both

I played 70 hours - beat all missions with S rank, got absolutely all achievements. Only pvp left - I will give it another 10-20 hours tops before I quit the game. Let's say best case scenario 100hours for $70 - still cheaper than going to a bar of having a girlfriend, lol!

I’m an armored core vet so I’m probably biased, but I feel like as a whole it’s worth it. There’s definitely some cheese builds both online and offline, but people are getting creative so the meta is evolving somewhat. Some lobbies also don’t run a lot of cheese at all so you can see a lot of variety in setups. Ultimately though, Armored Core has had ‘Regulations’ for a couple generations now that are effectively balance patches. The nice part is that in online lobbies in the past you’ve been able to set the regulation, so even if a “new” one is out, if you and some other folks really loved the old one you can continue to play on it. The standard is typically the most recent regulation though, but still.

the game is worth the money for the story runs alone, the replayability isn't really there though unless you want to just play the same few meta builds in pvp. There's no incentive to S rank missions as you don't get anything for it and they aren't really challenging anyway. I have 40 hours and after unlocking everything I have already started playing other games again but it was a blast while it lasted.
