Sound is so overlooked in games outside of ost imo. Sound is so essential in video games if you ask me, it's a vital sensory input when it comes to giving a feeling to an enviroment, weapon, action, etc. The wrong sound design can make or break a game in my opinion.

I've always loved the sound design in From Software games, from Sekiro, to Bloodborne, and now Armored Core 6. As a composer I really appreciate the work From Software puts into their sound design, but it's a shame most others seldom seem to notice it.

Sound effects are very important On of the best examples I can think of is Halo The Halo combat evolved Shotgun and Pistol feel amazing to use and sound amazing I still remember the first time a use the Shotgun Every other weapon struggle a little to take down combat forms flood But the moment I fire the shotgun ohh boy The strong loud blast and BOOM! The flood is dead Firing and reloading that thing feels amazing And then Halo 2 came out and it a good game But the thing they did with the shotgun and pistol it was a sin I understand the nerf to the damage But the change of the sound effect was a sin I didn't feel amazing using those weapons anymore Armored Core 6 have that same feeling when using some weapons and equipment For example I love the booster sounds of Balteus I feel adrenaline rush when that aircraft Fly away from me or avoid my shots I also love The Enforcer pulse weapon sound There is a lot of sounds in Armored Core that I love I really hope we get a DLC or a new game I agree that AC6 deserved to win some sound design award
