To me it’s a shame that he’s actually always been better than the music he sang over. Mediocre era Anthrax and Saint was very inconsistent and average compared to John himself In an alternate universe he said yes to Metallica Imagine him doing Fade to Black or Master of Puppets

I was about to say I just started getting into the big 4's newest stuff and it's OK but I only liked anthrax with JB so I started listening to armored saint and I can't believe how these guys just get better with age

I was fortunate enough to see Armored Saint during their Symbol of Salvation Tour in 2018. They sounded incredible. Btw this is an incredible performance and recording. Every instrument is clear as a bell. Joey Vera is a beast of a bassist. The first time I ever saw John Bush live in person was in 1997 with Anthrax and sounds just as powerful to this date. Armored Saint as a whole seems to get better/tighter every passing year.

Had the pleasure of meeting John Bush at a club in North Hollywood called the FM station if anyone remembers that he was very down-to-earth and very cool to me and I also got to meet the rest of the members of armored Saint this was back in 1993 a time I will never ever forget long live the saint😊

Joey pounding that bass. Saw them in Dallas...they rocked. All great guys, treated us well backstage. U will never meet a better group of players. Saints Will Conquer!

Saw Armored Saint way back in the 80s open for the Ted Nugent knew right then and there they were special here we are almost 40 yrs later and they are still kicking major ass unbelievable band great musicians,great song 🙌👊💪🏼

I think I speak for a lot of older metal fans when I say, "I can't believe I never heard any of their music before!". Sure, i've heard the name Armored Saint all these decades, but I just never listened to them at all. It was mainly more popular bands like Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Dio, Dokken, Ratt, Queensryche, Accept, Loudness, AC/DC, Ozzy, Saxon, etc that got my attention. I can't believe what I missed!

I saw these guys when they opened up for King Diamond at the TLA in Philadelphia in the late eighties (I believe it was 1987 or 1988). His voice was great then and sounds even better now!

@@RougeSanta correct. I’m old so definitely remember that. Was not a fan. Absolutely love Anthrax with Belladonna. I like his voice with Armored Saint more. His cover of Deathrider with Anthrax was really good though.
