“[Bassist] Joey [Vera] came up with the idea of doing the song. We’ve always been huge fans of old school soul and R&B music so it was a no brainer. It’s got a great groove, perfect for our rhythm section, and Jeff [Duncan]’s and Phil [Sandoval]’s guitars are screaming. Plus, the cool lyrics make it ideal for the ‘SAINT style. Levi Stubbs [The Four Tops] was such a rad singer; I just tried to do him justice. I think this would make him a metal fan!” - John Bush
This classic track was originally written by Dennis Lambert and Brian Potter and was first released by People in 1970. Additional covers include The Four Tops (1974), Sanatana (1978), and The Doobie Brothers (1989).

I wasn't sure if I knew the song, but once it started, I remembered the Doobie Brothers version on their Cycles album in the late 80's, didn't know it was done by the Four Tops. Either way, they kicked its Ass! Well done Armoured Saint! Been a fan since March of the Saint in the 80's, long live the Saint!

I like the use of the double negative in the song title and then the lyric of “two wrongs don’t make no right.” This would be a good live song it’s reminding me of La Raza for the groove feel it has

John nearly went into Metallica, but decided to stay with his fellow Saints, and we're so proud he stuck to his musical principles. Armored Saint cut their own path, and while they should have been MUCH bigger, it's the music that matters. And on that note, the Saints are still marching and as great as ever. Well done, guys!

Awesome 🤘 I remember first hearing Armoured Saint back in '84 when MTV played the "Can You Deliver" video, I always liked the explorer guitar that Phil Sandoval was using in that video, it's cool that he is using an explorer again. Armoured Saint are one of the few bands of thier era that are basically 100% original members (rip Dave 🎸 ) and STILL sound AMAZING 🤘
