first of all props to the writers for having the guys move in a cohesive unit. there is clearly one person in charge giving out clear orders and his team members responding immediately and effectively. that's how it's done in an emergency.

Lmao I love how they act as though half the police force wouldn’t be there in minutes, like bruh, it’s an armoured truck, they are on a second-tight schedule if they are even 30 seconds late they get radioed plus they have trackers on them.

There are some mire aspects wrong about this scene. Don't get me wrong I love the show, but I figured it had to be said: First, it is an ARMORED truck. There is no way you'd be getting into that in mere minutes. A colleague of mine(as I am a firefighter myself) has once been practicing on one, and it took them hours with the jaws of life, the hydraulic cutters and other heavy cutters(saws, those stonecutting machines that look like beefed up grinders) to do some sort of damage that was enough to at least get an arm(length wise) inside. Over here we do not carry welding/plasma cutter stuff on the trucks, so a (English is not ny first language so I do not know all the names in english) massive stonecutter/grinderthing with diamond cutting wheel could be used, but even that would take a while. Second: There is no way in hell ANYBODY would climb on top of that truck if that chain isn't connected to the armored truck and a hard point on the firetruck, tree or anything strong enough for that matter. As Casey could caused that truck to topple over the railing, and he could have been dead or at least seriously injured if that had happened, or if he fell down due to the move the truck made. All in all, great action. But quite unrealistic tbh. That aside, as stated before I love this show for the way they portray the action (nitpicks aside) and that even firefighters are still human. And I love that I can nitpick at the 'bad' or unrealistic scenes/actions and still learn from both those 'bad' and unrealistic and the good scenes/actions.

They should have involved the police for two reasons: crowd control and the incident itself (it is a red flag since it is an armored car). The police have arrived at the scene at 3:59 .

I did some simple math regarding the throwing of the gold bars, I calculated the box to be roughly 60x25x25 cm, very difficult to tell as there are no still images of a box, correct me if I'm wrong. This is calculated to be 37500 CC, or 37.5L. The density of pure gold is 19.3 g/cc (19.3x denser than water), if the container is what appears to be 70% full (I'll go 50% for arguments sake), this calculates to be: 37500x19.3/2 = 361850 grams or *361.875 kilograms*. A container with the dimensions 60x25x25 at half capacity. Furthermore, if you think firemen are 'that strong', the heaviest deadlift was 501 kg, lifted by an Icelandic giant who weighed 205 kg (2.44 x bodyweight) The actor who plays Captain Patterson (Brian Joseph White) is 84 kilograms. Patterson's maximum deadlift weight is (2.44 x bodyweight, (84)) *205.29 kg*. Patterson couldn't deadlift the box if he tried with every muscle in his body. Not even the strongest man could lift and throw that much weight with one hand so easily.

To answer both of you: From what retired Firefighters have told me, bunker-gear is heavy, especially due to the temperatures of the average fire they get sent into, including BA equipment, especially the O2 tank. That saying, given that Armoured Vehicles, especially for bank transfers, are made of hardened steel, the sides would be smooth as glass. Even at a 45⁰ angle, there would be much purchase on that, since there wouldn't be anything he could use to push off of his boot from ... And, of course ... this isn't real at all, in the sense that this was obviously a co-ordinated stunt, obviously for dramatic effect ...
