Wow. Just wow. I had this interview saved in my "watch later" since the day it went live and after reaching over it for two weeks I finally put it on, and I honestly cant remember being so engrossed by a youtube video. Such a great story and such a talented story-teller. Not only that, but in my appraisal a good KZfaq video will both entertain and produce a spark in the mind, a little moment that a new idea is introduced that beckons the viewer to investigate further, and my god this video lit off a firestorm for me. Fascinating, elucidating, entertaining, bravo bravo!

Change the packaging and stuff. We're not talking about milk or chocolate here, and we're not talking about 10 k deals. Then cutting out the pne person who was in between. Being in and around Federal contracting for decades, his description of the related pre-award (e.g., auditing financial systems, site visits, etc.) and post-award processes are completely accurate. He's authentic. I started watching this interview fully expecting to click-away, but not so. He is super intelligent, and super interesting…. As a viewer with a Federal Firearms License which includes full auto manufacturing. I can tell ya everything he is saying is correct. It's not that easy anymore, they added some changes to the bid process now. Because of these guys. Now I have never bid on a government contract because I have no way to fill it. But because of these guys. Now the US government inspects even the manufacturing lines to ensure you have the capability to make the product you are saying you can. Love this interview.

Two things jumped out at me: 1. I worked in the arms industry myself for about 13 years, and when it comes to ammunition, every single case that comes out of a state arsenal, and pretty much everything made privately has a headstamp or factory stamp on it. The information these stamps give varies, but usually its going to be factory of origin and year of production. Chinese and indeed, all combloc ammunition had a headstamp scheme that was well understood by western intelligence throughout the cold war. Not to mention that Chinese ammo that was sold commercially in the US was made at state arsenals so the factory stamps would be no secret. So when he describes simply changing the boxes to conceal the origin of the ammo, I immediately knew they were going to be caught because there was simply no way that the ammo would not be inspected on arrival and the headstamps cross referenced. The military authorities probably knew from the day it arrived where it was from and simply didn't care. 2. The New York times always shows their journalistic integrity.

He literally said the ARMY knew all along and even shielded them because they deemed the ammo essential to the Afghan government. They figured as soon as Obama came in he’d pull troops and the afghans would be screwed. Justice dep told them we’d not charge y’all were it not for the article that blew up.
