Peanuts were not discovered by Europeans until the discovery of the New World. I must reject this humour.

Cedillallidec I am actually wondering when UK got to see/taste corriander for the first time

Given that the characters are dressed in Tudor-era clothing, they would've discovered peanuts by this stage. However, they may not have discovered the concept of allergies... or invented the plastic tupperware.

It is actually a little known fact that Tupperware comes from the Saxon Tuprewaren derived from the Latin Tupruswari. Roman plasticsmiths were well renown for casting elaborate re-sealable food containers with intricate Etruscan patterns. The peanuts faux pas is simply unforgivable in refined comedy. I must give this a baaaaaaaahhhhh!

chirashimonster the Romans enjoyed coriander so I'd think some of those in the brit region would have done so too. You don't tend to throw out the stuff that makes pease porridge taste more exciting.

As somebody that doesn't eat meat, I'd be devouring those many grapes.

He turned down the offer to buy his company so the university expelled him !! Same old format of someone making something that doesn’t do what it claims then is wronged by everyone so we must feel sorry cor them and buy the product. Really !!

@Pat Terson Indeed! And people with very serious food allergies in the past often had the good grace to just drop dead.
