I agree that Devon in the 105kg category will inevitably lose a significant percentage of his strength. Any athlete, and I speak from my own experience, when you cut weight your strength inevitably also decreases. This doesn't mean Devon will be completely destroyed as Ivan says, but it will require much more demand on Devon's training if he wants to maintain a large percentage of his strength and beat the top 5. He can do it, but only if he trains four times more than he did at super heavyweight.

Most of Devon’s weight was body fat and water weight, his arm power and strength will not diminish, I went from 200lbs to 180 and my strength actually increased. It was all just fat and water weight. It’s been like 2 months and Devon is already down 30+ lbs. the only way a person does that is if most of the weight was water retention and organ fat. U can lose that weight fast over simply changing your diet. I think Devon will destroy the 105-115 kg weight class

Pradeeps whole statement about anyone who has potential to beat Levan would be able to beat Larry wheels the first day on the table is a silly statement. Just because someone doesn’t have the best technique when they start the sport doesn’t mean they can’t learn it. You could start with horrible natural technique and if you are smart learn that technique. Same thing for strength, you could have a certain weakness like pronation that could cripple you when you start but if you focus on it then it could change everything. Trying to judge progression this way just doesn’t make sense. A good example of this in strength sports if Thor. Look at videos of how weak he was in deadlifting and how bad his natural form was. It was atrocious. Then he went on to break the deadlift record. It was obvious he had potential it just wasn’t fully harnessed.

So I don't understand why you say he'll get destroyed at 105kg! He'll walk through the division rather easily. He's just dropping his weight now to get his body acclimated to being that light again. He'll start his preparation for a 105kg match at 110kg. Easy water cut, then back up to 110kg over night easily. It is after all his natural weight.
