I try to avoid repro boxes for all, but the lesser models. The greats, like the #49, I insist on the scarce original boxes, if one can be found.

The only problem I see is that the star decal is upside down. It should be pointing the opposite direction.

A note, Paul, since I've seen you use this term a few times: You did not make "stickers" for this model; stickers are printed on plastic sheet and peeled off to be applied to the model. You hare making much superior waterslide decals, which are nothing like "stickers."

You're unlikely now to find one of these #49 Army Half-Tracks with surviving original tracks, and not always on playworn examples, either. Even on preserved ones the tracks as they aged, cracked. I bought mine about seven years ago, and naturally they were replaced by repro grey tracks (also available in green or black). I would think with all due understanding, having to settle for the repro tracks shouldn't detract very much, if any, value. To make up for how I settled on an example with repros, and it was nonetheless mint and deserving of one, I found an original B box like it once had, and that, I felt, made for increased value.

Sehr schöne Restaurierung. Die Ketten nachzufertigen ist toll. Die Umlenkräder der Ketten hätte man vielleicht noch säubern und neu lackieren sollen, für einen besseren Gesamteindruck. Nur der Stern ist leider falsch angebracht. Dieser zeigt, von vorn gesehen, immer mit einer Spitze mittig nach hinten, und mit zwei Spitzen jeweils schräg nachlinks und rechts vorn. Das sieht so sehr komisch aus.

A question if I may Paul. Would using a bead blaster on the model bodies do too much damage to the soft zinc?
