BMC makes a set of about 32 Marines, which includes 8 seated Marines that can be placed inside vehicles. These are good quality Marx remakes from the 1960's and are available in different colors like gray, two shades of green, cherry red, tan, blue, etc. I think these would be good for your vehicles. You can also use them as campfire figures, sitting around during a rest break. Available from Victorybuy or other mail-order sources like Toy Soldier HQ down in Florida.
