After 3 years of Slot I'm not only a Feyenoord fan anymore, but also a fan of Slot. Every year he made most of the players better. He's a good communicator, also in English. He has a good vision on the game and wants to do everything perfect. He's good with people. Threats everybody with respect and doesn't place himself above the players. From a Feyenoord fan, Slot made feyenoord play amazing attractive football and also with result. Not only his attacking and high pressure style of football is nice to watch , but also his defensive football is really strong. When the team loses the ball he aspect the whole team to run back and take the counter attack from the opponent.

i really like how much one touch football they play and how the spacing is in attack. they have a lot of intelligent runners and easy short outlet passes. the way liverpool is currently playing, players get isolated in attack and then hold the ball too long and give it away. these guys play like a unit and that is something that has been missing from liverpool towards the end of this season.

💯 I’ve been saying exactly the same thing all season. Too predictable and flat. Current players are good enough for “Slot Machine” can’t wait! Klopp mainly depends on individual brilliance. If Mane/Firminho/Salah didn’t play well the whole team fell apart. Midfield has to be creative and intelligent, like City/Arsenal coz it’s the heart beat of a team!

Slot his strength has been his amazing capacity to play beautiful high pression football and buying players that fits perfectly into that system , i see a lot of people hating without even knowing him but with a budget that Liverpool has I'm 95% he will succeed. ETH is a whole different trainer , slot has always been different. His playstyle is way more advanced and 99% of the Netherlands loved watching his tactics and adaptability. I have seen people say stuff about his lack of leadership and charisma but i think 100% of the Netherlands can agree that the way he speaks and present himself is pure class and leadership. I think Slot will easily succeed at Liverpool so stop trying to talk smart if u have no idea what coach he is! People actually compare him with Guardiola because of how smart he and his team behind him is.

One aspect I have noticed in his game is the ball retention ability, something that has been lacking in the current Liverpool players. His team needs players who have the capability to keep the ball and the ability to dribble past opponents. That is the strength of Arsenal and Man city currently. If he can impart that into our players and pressing ability then Liverpool fans are in for a good treat at Anfield. The players we had in Liverpool team with the ability to keep the ball are Sadio Mane, Philip Coutinho and Roberto Firmihno. With the above players, Liverpool were destroying teams with no man business. Remember the Champions League game against Roma at Anfield. It was one of the memorable games under Klopp which I shall not forget.

There's no tiki taka in a team with Salah, Nunez and Diaz. Selfish and/or inaccurate. A midfield of Elliot, Szoboszlai and Macallister would be able to execute this but they would need Gakpo and Jota up front.

That team-play... wow... what a play... this team is one man... these players seem to know each other 'n can work together... each of them are in their positiion. When they said Slot’s team plays like Liverpool, I was really disheartened. I just don’t see enough patterns of play in our game. I just love the way Arsenal makes angles in the box. Something we rarely do. It’s really weird, but Klopp 2.0 isn’t as good as Klopp 1.0. Like Klopp, I believe Slot mixes up. Also, Klopp 1.0 played fast attacking football. I really feel sorry for Klopp because the players have let him down. Needless to say, we need fresh ideas, and I’m really excited for next season. YNWA.🙂

💯 klopps teams been one dimensional depending on individual brilliance of forwards and this season it showed! Slots team plays compact one/two touch quick transition creating angles where as Klopps team is very predictable in build up.

Please be aware: his teams need excellent fitness and stamina. It could take some time before the players are able to play at this high intensity. He got his players at a state of mind, they come to the club at 7/8 am on their days off to work in the gym. Not because he demands it, but because they challenge each other (aka breakfast club) Usually we have seen players take a few months to adapt to his play (for the past 3 years) His first month(s) at Feyenoord were a struggle. Almost kicked out of conference league by a small club…. Few months later we played the final I hope he succeeds, but I also hope he gets time to implement his Slot-ball and he is not Slot-shamed at the start. Trust me Liverpool, he will bring great things… Feyenoord/Rotterdam are similar to Liverpool (city, club,etc). Liverpool has the means for top players, now they have a top coach=>in 1-3 years CL winners with slot 😉

as a feyenoord supporter, Feyenoord - Lazio Roma and Feyenoord - Scum(ajax) this year have been the absolute best football i have ever seen at feyenoord. We all hoped that he would stay since our transfer budget is so much higher compared to last season. He would make a monster team for next year. Im a huge Dutch fan always but ironically I remain skeptical as the good old days of Cruyff, Neeskens, Van Bruekelen, Krol, Gullit, Rijkaard, Marco, Koeman, Bergkamp, Seedorf, Davids, De-Boers, etc etc etc are long over. Dutch football now is several rungs below Championship football. LFC's trusted Jordan Henderson was signed by Dutch's top team Ajax at 35 years old and is one of their top players. Certainly my lament was filled with emotion due to 3 failed WC finals and Euro semi final losses to Denmark and Italy etc etc etc such many years ago. The irony about arguing if Dutch football is better than Championship levels in England. I hope KNVB can really be creative and invest in protecting and promoting Dutch youths first to re-ignite their interest in the game and also to prevent losing them too early. Ajax, PSV, Feyenoord once exported top class players for fun, winning Euros for fun. I'm here now talking with a Dutch fan about Championship level football. i am somewhat optimistic and whilst i think we won’t challenge for the title atleast not first year it will be entertaining, for a while now klopps tactics have been figured out and teams counter us to make us look like we play boring football but this style of play with constant quick passing and players making runs everywhere will be so refreshing

imo the biggest thing Klopp/Edwards missed was narrowing all these data & searches to the players who also had technical ability. A lot of Klopp's era players were more volume players rather than consistent technical players. Players like Bobby, Thiago, Trent & Macallister stood out like sore thumbs when in reality that should be the basic. As a result, I think thats why klopp always fell short. The chances were there but the end product wasn't across a season to make them constant winners.

I would love us to exercise more controlled possession because we give up too many high quality chances to teams up and down the division. Man City know how to suffocate teams properly and drown them while we like to regularly let them up for air so to speak, by giving teams chances. remember the style of play also depends A LOT on the players of the squad, and that tiki taka was pretty but ultimately stopped being efficient: too much time with the ball, but not that much time being objective (check number of gols of PSV vs Feyenord). Just being devil's advocate as someone who doesn't support teams from the Premier League or from the Netherlands

As a Liverpool fan I just know it that we would need to change most of the players. We need dribbling now with this approach. Gravenberch will shine under him if this is the case. Just imagining what more of a beast bobby firmino would have become under him

Firmino is the perfect striker for Slot's style, it is a shame that Bobby is no longer in the team... in the same way, of the forwards that Liverpool has today, the one who best fits this style is Gakpo, I agree with what Gravenberch, although our Liverpool would need 1/2 quality signings, such as Frimpong and Osimhen......
