Darwin Nunez's goal scoring prowess or lack thereof is not the problem.It's the supply chain from midfield that's the cause of his lack of goals.The Reds need an attacking midfielder with vision and good reading of the game who is able to make penetrative killer pass that makes the difference.The scouts and recruitment team need to be aware of this.

Darwin won’t be sold, if he is it’s ridiculous. His numbers are still very good this season, he contributes to team goals and scores his own, the chances he misses can easily be corrected with practice and more confidence.. maybe the new manager will be able to make him more composed in one v one chances

Let’s be honest the tactics from Klopp this year have been crap. I understand Trent playing the midfield going forward last year was needed cause the mid last season was crap but never should have continued this year. In fact I think, it should have been Trent and Macca attacking mids and should have had an actual RB that could defend. Trent playing mid going forward left Konate or Quansah exposed for counters with no protection. Every team went down that side and Klopp was stubborn to change. Love Klopp but this tactic failed. Also Nunez is best on the wing and not central cause he doesn’t need to over think shots out wide when the shot is usually across goal. Playing central has lots of options on how to finish which I think makes Nunez nervous and bottles shots. Definitely need a better spine with an actual CF, a defensive midfielder and a great CB.

I'm disappointed with the recent results but ffs we've been brilliant for most of the season. If someone asked me at the beginning of the season where would Liverpool be at the end of the season especially after the season before I wouldve said top 5. So us challenging for the title for most of the season was great.

Something to remember with Nunez, his goal contributions this season compared to last is nearly double, yes the chances he misses are unacceptable but remember he’s not a klopp type striker, firmino was an all rounder and i think under slot if he plays with a typical no9 that could suit Nunez as he looks confused and just needs to focus on being the striker he was at benfica as that showed the talent is there, the kid can finish just needs the confidence that coming in and out of the side doesn’t help with

The witch-hunt against VVD is bang out of order and totally wrong on facts. He has been outstanding this season and until the wheels fell off over the past few weeks, everyone was praising his leadership as well as his playing form. Re the comparisons with Hendo, the comments are laughable. Hendo was the captain when we made the worst title defence in history. He was also the captain last year when we were crap. In both those seasons we saw many games like those of the past few weeks where we lacked energy, fight and organisation, so claims that Hendo was some super captain and VVD is not up for the job, if based on those comparisons, are total BS. Some of our current problems are obvious and clear and have been there a long time e.g. (1) Robbo and TAA can’t defend and in particular are very poor in the air (which is why Everton made damn sure their high balls evaded VvD and went wider to the FB positions), Bradley is a big improvement defensively, Tsimikas is even worse than Robbo. (2) we have got a very big issue with Darwin, and I see zero evidence that he has spent time and effort on his technique and decision making. (3) the only of the players who have returned from injury to make a positive contribution have been TAA and Ali (and to a lesser extent, Robbo). Jones, Szobo and Jota have all been terrible, and we should have reverted back to the other players well before the Palace and Everton disasters.

If you want to know why Unai Emery didn't work at Arsenal it was because 1. He couldn't connect with the fans 2. His signings were poor 3. He didn't get rid of the big ego's 4. The football got worse as his reign went on 5. He bottled top 4 to prioritize the Europa League but got battered by Chelsea in the final anyway 6. Change at the club, Edu was hired in 2019 shortly after the Kroenke's took over Arsenal. Then Emery started terribly his next season and the club chose to look in a different direction after seeing the club and fans had completely disconnected, they then chose to look at a more inexperienced, young manager, who played for the club, has an influence and would prioritize connecting the fans to the players. Emery was bad at Arsenal, in his first few months he was incredible but like Villa this season very quickly it wore off and his team was back to being inconsistent. That's why he works at mid-table teams, his teams can't challenge for a title because they aren't consistent enough

Darwin as a 5 year contract, if he says he staying, then he stays, and LFC have to pay him £100,000 per week, yet we have Gapko on £140,000 per week and he is overpaid by at least £40,000 per week... Selling Salah would be a huge mistake. He is both the creator and finisher. He keeps two of the defenders always busy around him if not scores.
