They went on a whole journey from average to elite and then back to average again, in between kenny leaving and klopp taking over lol. The idea that Klopp took the mometum that kenny started is insane... We almost certainly are well ahead in terms of the analysis we've done when looking over different options. What does that have to do though with whether one of those options instead chooses to opt for bayern instead once our offer eventually comes? We've clearly done our due diligence on all possible options, and are ready to make an offer, but if bayern do the same thing at the same time then its out of our hands in terms of who he chooses. You could scout a player for 4 years, but if Real Madrid come along at the last second you might have issues. They went from 59 points and 5th to 82 points and champs which is very similar to Amorim. Ajax fell off but PSVs levels didnt drop by too much, but regardless it's mostly irrelevant when he still achieved a point total that was only 1 point off the champs Ajax the season before! Did every other team in the league fall off too...? lol. He still had to go out and beat all the rest of them lol. They're similar enough and Liverpool might like the fact that he has achieved that through often playing a 4-3-3 system and winning the ball high up the pitch. Am I saying Slot is DEFINITELY a better option than Amorim? No.... but there is no way you know the reverse of that for a fact either lol, and I definitely have a lot of faith in the way our club analyse these things. Pointing out things like "he won the league when these other teams were doing this" is not definitive proof that he is a better manager lol. The next best manager for us could just as easily be a manger who is currently in the bottom half of a league table but working miracles with a limited and troubled squad.
