Oh my goodness, I can’t with the “field trip, field trip” footage! 😂 Kim, you are an absolute delight! I seriously adore you and your antics! You remind me of Lucille Ball, even though you’re all together different. I think you are hilarious and genuine through and through! Your family is so very blessed to have you at the helm. I agree. I have 3 kids and a light fabric sofa but I got one that every cushion cover can be unzipped and washed. 2 years in and it's still looking great.

I don't have kids but I do have a dog and I use a sofa cover to keep my couch clean. Works great and you don't have to worry about replacing your couch as often.

I have an idea for decorating the wall under the stairs. How about a large aquarium tank with tropical fish! It's very calming and the perfect first family pet plus, it's coastal! You can use the credenza you already have as the base and buy that beautiful blue credenza! I love coastal and blue and I love your house.

Just make sure its not the kind that will start peeling, I bought some and started peeling within 6 months, paid a great deal, had electric reclieners, a 3 peice set, all peeled, never again

I used to own a furniture store, I always discouraged the faux leather unless it was a short term purchase/ I bought real leather and it’s 20 years old and going strong! My son is 18!

Love how Alex takes the kids to the park or where ever to give you some time to yourself. Like when you are folding laundry and he comes in and gets the wee one in her lovely Frozen frock and takes her out so you can have space. Don't know how you get it done, you are amazing, funny & sweet. What a great family you have, thanx for sharing them with us.

I suggest dark blue for your upholstery. It is both coastal and kid friendly. Then go light with your TV console color. Blues all work well together so it will coordinate with your rug.

The furniture store we are stuck with does not offer blue couches in a recliner (which is what Alex wants) but we are headed there soon to sit on some couches so we’ll see what they have to offer!

I like the idea of blue couches as well. If there is any way to go to a different store, I would highly recommend lazy boy. Costs a bit more up front but a great long term purchase

The humidity is one reason we’ve never wanted a leather couch (or faux) and I feel like no matter what couch we have the kids will inevitably ruin it lol

Not sure which video I saw you talking about the lime juice, honey, Italian dressing marinade (more than once for sure), but I finally made it and you were right!! SO MUCH FLAVOR!! I did sheet pan in oven and poured marinade over veg - baked all together. Thank you!!!

My favorite vision board option was leather couch with cream colored console. The leather brings in the warmth of the coffee table and the console being light makes the whole room look coastal.

I recently got a fabric lounge suite after having a leather lounge suite for the last 15 years……..paid a very small amount extra and got it sprayed with a fabric protector………..which has a 5 year guarantee. Have had new lounge suite now for about 2 months and had the first disaster on it….cat vomited on it…….thought this is the time to see how the protectant worked……it is amazing. The spill / stain just sits on the surface and you literally just dab ( not rub) it with a wet cloth…….. removed perfectly. Works with ANYTHING spilt or stained on it.

Suggestion: create a “off limits” bin on the highest shelf in your pantry for ingredients you buy for specific recipes that you don’t want little scoundrels snacking on! They’ll know they can have anything in the pantry except for the off limits bin. And hopefully it should limit you searching around for something specific if it’s in the bin! 💕

I think you're going to love those baskets in your freezer unless you need more space in another season ...food prep pre-baby, parties, holidays. The baskets do have us keep things in order and make it easier to see what's available or what has emptied.

When we were adding on to our house it took a while to get the permits and to break ground, anytime they were doing construction the township had to come out to make sure everything was okay. You had to have all the permits in the windows to the township new what was being done on our house after everything our addition took about a year to finish.

Please buy this dining table you saw and please try something more modern for a couch like a sectional maybe? You have to cover a lot of space in your living room and the ones you chose will make the area feel empty ! In dark gray or something that you can wash in the washing machine? Love the coastal dinning set you showed. I would buy a lower back couch for your living room, maybe with a chaise on the end? We bought our from Haverty’s and it is so comfortable. Haverty’s couches hold up great.

One of my favorite tricks for my car was putting a trash can in it. A small one between the seats. Helps keep the kids cleaning up in my vehicle 😊

Faux leather looks good but it does not last. If it starts to peel its done. I would get something that they can pretreat and something that can be cleaned. Maybe not so light. Gray would be nice.

Definitely the blue coastal sofa and blue console. Also the white dining table. They're lovely. I've been taking care of a sick relative and others so I didn't get to do my deep spring cleaning. I decided I'd wait and deep clean for fall. My husband renovated our bath so Bam ! clean, needed new living room chairs threw out old ones got new Bam! no cleaning. Replacing hall floor Bam ! Replacing bedroom floor with wood Ha Ha Bam ! clean. Still got lots to do but good start. BAM ! Kim I love your videos. Get your furniture while you can or you might not. Designer here! For the sofa, I think either color would be great. I think you should reconsider the shape of the sofa though. The design doesn’t have the true coastal look that you are going for. I recommend an option that doesn’t recline and has exposed legs. This will allow it to look more refined and less bulky.

Hey Kim. I recommend Dark brown leather look couch and blue console or a console that matches the wood in the kitchen or stair railing. Consider storage that you may need as well for games and candles. Would you be then putting floating shelves or bookshelves on the wall for decor?

Kim - with the dishwasher... make sure you keep using rinse aid (or vinegar in the rise aid compartment). It will help with the drying process.

My 1st husband had also taken a cream for a rash he had and he then had a reaction to the cream by the 3rd day . Same as it was on a weekend luckily he was able to find some relief from something the urgent care gave him .

My two cents: even as its not as kid friendly I like the lighter couch , the brown didn't seem to go with the table and the console as much. Oh and the blue console really tied the whole look together ❤️

I have several folding tables in different sizes that I use for projects like your freezer. So you don't have to do so much bending or put things on the floor and you go so much faster that you can keep the food from thawing out while the doors open. I keep them in the garage and use them for every organizational and cleaning project in my house also scrapbooking an extra crafting tables.

Most furniture stores stores have a “in house” interior designer. They can help with color and scale of furniture. Always better to touch and sit on your future furniture before ordering.

You are so inspiring! You are going to think I’m crazy but when I clean out my freezers I write down everything I have and as I use them I cross them off my lists. My husband just laughs at me. My dad does the same thing. You have great handwriting. Have a great day! ❤️

As if as your family/ kitchen combo which is Is large I would HIGHLY suggest a sectional ! In a lighter color either a nice leather or small pile fabric ( scotch guard)❤️❤️
