This is a tutorials series for anyone who wants to learn how to use the ARP-2600, either the Behringer, the Korg reissue, or the original! I've tried to break things down into small videos that are easy to mentally digest and apply to your own electronic music. We will be exploring both east coast tonal and west coast avant-garde uses of the synthesizer.

You don't quite have the correct patch, assuming that you are using example 41 in the patch book. The connection that you were wondering about should be a mult for the S&H output, sending it to the ADSR in on the filter and VCA. Also, the saw from VCO 3 is providing the signal that is being sampled for the S&H.

Pretty interesting patch, I wonder if there's some sort of multiply by zero type thing going on with those three mult cables

I wonder if it’s that or if there was an external accent input in the original patch idea that was abandoned.

@@ModernDevotion anything is possible! This patch came out of the original ARP-2600 patch book, so I don't think they would've intended for there to be external processing, but you never know

As wired, I think those cables from the mult are just blocking the default inputs they are going to. If you unplug the input side, as you did in your demo, that input reverts back to the default and has an unwanted effect. I think if you unplug all 3 at the mult end, it won’t change the sound at all? Seems like 3 useless patch cables to me. Turning those inputs all the way down would do the same thing. 😂
