The Bardstown murders is very ominous. About 6 years ago my husband and I were traveling from Canada to Kentucky, we stumbled across this beautiful town, it’s charming. I noticed pictures of a handsome police officer in many of the shops and that was Jason Ellis, after doing a deep dive into this town I read about countless murders that have happened here including Crystal. Absolutely haunting

I'm so happy to hear that someone has been arrested in this case. I remember very clearly when this happened and I have also seen this story be retold a few times on different TV shows. I pray that the family and loved ones may finally have justice for the loss of Crystal Rogers!

I have been following this case for years. With Tommy out there searching for his daughter, I believe in one report it stated he had a lead on where his daughter was. That he was supposed to talk to this source a couple of days after he was killed? Also I’m pretty sure I also saw they figured out where the person who killed Tommy was standing when he took the shot. It was across from Tommy’s property and they even saw where the gun had rested on the tree that was used to conceal the person taking the shot. Does anyone remember hearing this too?

Thank the Lord it looks like there’s finally going to be justice for Crystal. Brooks needs to be in prison the rest of his life. It’s obvious the brothers phone call to Brooks during the police interview was preplanned, he knew Brooks was going in for interview. Piss poor acting job!

Is that the quiet rural town where a policeman was found dead in the road, and a mother and daughter were stabbed to death in the middle of the night followed by Crystal’s disappearance and her father’s murder? Just one of those safe country town where everybody knows everybody.

I think that Brooks Houck is as guilty as sin. He thinks that being a deputy sheriff's brother w/connections and favor with the Circuit Judge makes him invincible. He is about to find out, I believe.

The boyfriend doesn't look a bit upset or surprised about Crystal Rogers' death. I think that Brooks is arrogant and thinks that he can get away with things.

Well, it sounds to me like somebody (or multiple people) must have felt like Tommy was getting too close to finding the truth about what happened to his daughter.

I have followed this case from the very beginning. He never seemed interested in trying to find Chrystal and like he could care less where she could be. At the time she disappeared he was in Law Enforcement, I don’t right now remember if he was with the Sheriff Officer or a Police Officer but he was certainly in a position that he could have found someone doing something very illegal and he could cut them a huge break , If they could do something for him maybe 🤔

This is what I think: Brooks was the mastermind. It was all his idea to get rid of Crystal. Nick had the resources to make it happen. And he knew a criminal who would take the bait. He knew how to make sure nobody ever found her with his criminal justice background. This other guy is no victim, but I believe he was coerced into it with threats or rewards. I’m so sorry for Crystal, her father, and family. May they rest in peace and may those responsible be held accountable and rot in hell.

Brooks Houck wants to know who found the car because he knows that a car passed them when they were in his grandma’s white Buick which was pulled off the road at an angle less than a mile from Crystal Rogers car on the Bluegrass parkway. Brooks Houck said that Crystal Rogers was sitting on the couch, playing games on her phone at 12:25am when he went to bed, after leaving the farm “together” but her phone was already on Bluegrass parkway in her car between 10:30-11pm July 3 2015…per an eyewitness who also saw the car the next morning on his way to work.

You can tell that Brooks Houck wants to be in control. I would love to see the guilty perpetrators get what is coming to them.

And poor Tommy also had a sister who is missing. Everyone knows this tweaker that was arrested was doing Houks dirty work.

I am outraged for Sherri. The Houck brothers are neck deep in this. May Crystal and her dad have justice soon.

Such a sad, tragic thing- Crystal's dad getting murdered. What her poor Mother has gone through and also Crystal's friend who got murdered. It wouldn't be the 1st time that a small town administered their own kind of "justice" in the name of the law. I would be madder than an old wet hen at the idea of a bully Brooks Houke having Crystal's child. He sounds really spoiled. These poor abused women don't leave their boyfriends or husbands in time before the bad thing happens. I wish that she could have told her Mother about what red flags she had about Brooks. Domestic abuse is very common and women are not speaking up enough and they should, eventhough they're scared. I don't know why the parents didn't suspect Brooks of mistreating her. I can tell that he is sly and manipulative. Someone is going to put him in his place and enjoy doing it.

Will be interesting to see who's the next to be arrested. My guess is brooks and maybe his brother. Whoever killed her will also be the killer of her father. I can't amagine what that poor mother is feeling with loss like that. The cop that was shot has got to be by the same guys, possibly even all the murders.

Brooks asking where Crystal’s car was found and which family member found it, is very telling to me. Why would he be asking that if he wasn’t involved in some way? It’s very suspicious of him to be asking something like that instead of asking more questions about the investigation on his girlfriend. That tells me even more than he was involved in her disappearance and he hired these people to do something horrible to her. I always thought the reason why Tommy was shot is because he was getting closer to who was really responsible for the disappearance of Crystal and the person who shot him wanted him out of the way.

After my oldest son and grand kids took me to Dominican sorry his wife it helped but i didnt grieve properly cause covid was close its still an empty feeling inside of me . I was curious because they are Ballards in Kentucky and I have a little Ballard ancestry from there. So it looks like Crystal and her father are my 9th cousins. It's a distant connection but it does make it a tiny bit more personal since we share ancestry.

This is just a case of murder in our county where 8 múrders have happened. In this case also a county cop was ambushed and the guy accused of crystals case,his brother a cop,houcks brother was involved in the cop being killed. We have a saying here, If you want someone killed bring them to Nelson county Ky.! Its a damn shame.
