I planned to travel to Banff, BC in may for visiting my son and my daughter-in-law to be and I searched how to complete the customs form. * A useful. The word "useful" starts with the sound "Y" so it doesn't need "an".

It would be great if you could make a video about Winter in Canada and what are the proper clothes. There are many people from warm places (including me) do not know how to deal with winter in Canada. In few days I will be moving to Winnipeg where it can reach -40 degrees, while the lowest temperature I have experienced is 5 degrees .

What if you're coming to Canada with a study permit which is issued for a year? Would you have to count the entire duration of your stay? I'm asking for the (Part B | Visitors to Canada) section.

Hi!! how are you? I will be coming to Canada in next 2 months!! Really excited!! Thank you for video on this topic. However, I would like to know, are we not food allowed to bring the food items that is specifically mentioned on that list? Because I plan to bring dry rice, commercially packed and some Indian spices, so such food will be available? Also, since it mention'd on the form no gifts allowed above 60 Canadian$, since I visit family I do intend to bring some gifts, do I have to pay any duty or taxes on that? Please, share some light on this, will be helpful!! Thank you!!

I think everything will be fine! The rice and spices are okay. I don't think you'll have a problem with that. With the gifts, just don't list them as gifts. Just say it's your personal stuff. 😁

Yes, I think it would be good to buy travel insurance! No, I think you can just check "NO" for everything. Only certain foods are not allowed (meat, dairy, seeds, etc) That information is on the card. 😊

Yes, you can bring spices, but I think it would be easier to just buy spices in Canada. I don't think you need to put it on the form.

I would put business. I’m also going to assume you’ve obtained the proper visas. Even if you’re coming from the USA or another country which has agreements for electronic travel permits you do need a visa to work. Also expect to be getting a secondary inspection as well which means more questioning than usual.

Hi there, this video was very helpful and i was looking exactly for this information. but i have a confusion. i will visit Canada in December 2017 for study and my study will last 4 years. So my question is what should write in the "DURATION OF STUDY" column as it only has 3 box and we have to write in days. but my duration of stay is 4 years approx. 1400 days.. what should write there. Hey, that's a great question! I have no idea! Haha. Honestly, it doesn't matter too much. They will help you at the customs desk. Are you planning to leave Canada at all in the 4 years? If not, just write 1400 and they will help you at the customs desk. Don't worry about the number of boxes. 🙂
