In this video, I show how to rid steering slop by adding Tekno TKR 1226 shims to your bellcrank, steering post, drang link and Ackerman arm. This is an effective upgrade to you monster truck or buggy RC car. This is a continuation to another video I made earlier. Also, in this video I provide product numbers, tooling and details on how to perform this upgrade on your 3s Arrma RC car. This upgrade apllies to the Granite, Bigrock,Typhon,Senton and Vorteks.

You're welcome! Excellent video. Emphasizing checking for binding is an important point. These are the mods that made it possible to hit my ramp with speed as well.

Awesome video! I'm currently tuning up my Typhon 3s and this is just what I need to do. What do you think about replacing the plastic bell crank with an aluminum one from gpm or hot racing?

Ya, I ve only heard good things about the hot racing bellcrank. Stay away form the hot racing servo saver though lol. Let me know how this mod works for you. I m still using it. Thanx for watching!

I rip my Senton in that spot! Lots of gravel sneaks into my steering but my buddies typhon takes the stones like a champ.

Ya we tried cutting up a sponge to plug the spots the stones get in but the sponge was putting resistance on my steering mechanisms and fried my servo

Omg! Great video! I have so many cars I’ve had to trial and error create fixes. I modified my 3 s line as well. I did almost the identical fix. Used traxxas ends with metal traxxas pivot balls. I’m shocked Arrma put any car out with that much slop. Plastic pivot balls is a joke! 👍💯

On my older blue senton I took off the servo saver for a solid servo arm.. it helped a lot..I plan on doing the same on my red senton and big rock and adding shims where needed along with the metal c hubs

I heard they re pretty good but I’m cheap. There is likley still room for improvement, you can try to add shims there as well.

hi Phil what brand of 17mm offset hexes you reccomend for typhon 3s? dont want to much offset. some of the grp tires onroad can sit real close to hubs!

HI! Honestly i think they are quite similar to each other. For the money, I think the Hot Racing make good sense. If they were for bashing and you had extra money, I would go with M2C. Thanks for watchin!

You can get different sizes , I believe most common size is 5mm on each side.

Hey what bumper did u put on that thing? I hacked a 6s one on mine cuz i couldn't find one for the typhon 3s lol I still need one fory nephew's too tho cuz he's brutal on that thing and the original bumper ( if u wanna call it that ) doesn't do shht. Tia

The one in this video is a 3s senton bumper, although beefy, it s not durable. I ve since gone to the Granite bumper.
