You are the opposite of me. I am not a collector. I love the Arrma 3S BLX lineup, but they are all essentially the same car. I have my beloved "Cindy", the $1100 Mini Kraton that actually works... and a Typhon 3S V3 I got because it is good as it is out of the box, and if I ever find a BMX track I can actually use it. Compared to Cindy, a BMX track is all the Typhon is really good for. That or pavement, the Typhon has become my parking lot car that I just use out front without having to go anywhere. I have become "Kraton Guy". I don't see a need for more than one REALLY GOOD car, and a "back up" so that between two cars you probably always have at least one that is working. This winter I am going to build a $1400 M2C Kraton 6S (my dream RC car). I am not even going to buy a Kraton, just all the upgrade parts I like the best and build it like a kit. It will probably have a Mamba X & 1717 motor. The two Kratons are all I'd ever need, I've learned that I only like bashers... and two "fully upgraded" ones are all I really need. I'll keep the Typhon since I have it, and someday I'll actually find a BMX track to use it on. BTW... if you want to turn your Mini Kraton into a tank get the M2C Racing Motor mount and chassis brace, hot racing aluminum rear diff yoke, remove the center chassis brace that twists and flexes the rear diff housing (makes the car weaker, not stronger), and make the suspension stiff and smooth (I have Typhon 6S Ebay shocks with 40wt fluid) to protect the rear diff. All these things together turn it's "fatal flaw" into "complete tank" and the Mini Kraton becomes AWESOME! Especially if you spend the other $600 or so more that I spent on mine... haha!

Yup this is better than the metal chassis Armas. I have 6s and 8s Arrmas that break very easily on a bad landing 😔. I wish that one day Arrma does a big plastic chassis vehicle like a 1/5 granite.

I have the original BRCC W/upgrades & new diffs,driveshafts etc. New FlySky Noble4 the only left handed (quality) controller. You may want to cover the opening underneath with electrical tape,where the access hole is for your servo so you don’t get any rocks or dirt in there. Personally I cover the entire bottom. I also use & only use Zeee batteries.. 3s/5200/80c=30 min run time.

First hard bash! It seems to be similar to the granite but definetely it miss a little bit of power to make the nose up in the air. It needs a 2nd chance with higher punch. Nice vid dude. We all saw how tough is arrma rc 👍

Just tighten the slipper a bit. I had to do that with mine, it was slipping a bit too much for my taste. I also have some 70wt shock oil coming to change out as well.

Rear drive shafts blew out on mine on my first run. I’d recommend getting extras or straight away upgrading them.

Great video. I’m looking at buying my first RC truck and can’t decide between the big rock and the granite.I’d be mostly using it in the backyard and at parks/forests. I believe the big rock has higher clearance? My concern for the granite is that it might be harder to handle, esp as I’m a new into the hobby, and the big rock could be more stable/easier to control, correct? Any suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers and thanks

Bought one, second run the truck flipped 3-4 times on grass (wasn’t jumping 20ft), nothing crazy, now zero steering. I understand that these RTRs don’t have the best stock servos but this is a joke. Arrma Tough? More like Arrma broke after minimal use.

So after in few days deciding and there's stock are available to found to buy.. however, i decided to bought arrma typhoon 3s.. the reason why i bought this 3s is bcs it has a similar chassis with big rock.. but this with buggy body with better aerodynamic but ofcourse i could not bash hard as big rock..and i really love this typhon..

Big Rock v3 has it goin on . Why modify when you should save up for a Kraton..8s . A Felony and/or Limitless to tear up some pavement might be in order .

i got a big rock and i havent any jumps but the big rock broke the left a arm the servo is junk my punch is stock and broke ther diff i spent more money repairing everything than actually driving it
