This was gonna be my first RC when I got back into it after many years. I ended up grabbing a kraton v5 and while I don't regret it, I still might end up grabbing one. But now that I've seen this Raarlo terminator that everyone is raving about, I don't know. Need a second job and more spare time. 😆
@phillybrc5 ай бұрын
Omg, i agree! Need more time! That Rllarlo looks cool but how is parts availibility in your area? Can t go wrong with the 3s line, so readily available and I like that. Thanx!!

This is by far my favorite basher ever! It’s a tank! I? I have a set of belted trenchers for my granite and they are terrible with traction in pretty much any environment. They just spin and spin on me. I guess I gotta get a set of unbelted.
@phillybrc4 ай бұрын
Ya, it s a really fun rig! Im shocked, I would ve thought the the traction would be similar. Thanks for watching!

Wow man I loved this video! Nice looking Silverado shell. I have the same exact tires and I find them really nice for jumping (more padded) and they do fairly well over most of the surfaces. Btw is your truck running the wide typhon arms? Great video man, inspiring always 😊
@phillybrc5 ай бұрын
Thanx so much. Ya, love these these tires. I had crazy traction and air control. Yes, it is widened, a huge MUST upgrade in my opinion. 🤜🤛
@arq.andresfelipemoralesvar95935 ай бұрын
@@phillybrc sorry to ask, between the badlands and the trencher (both non belted) which ones you find better for bashing? Thanks a lot, I’ll be widening my granite soon too :D

Cool. Proline makes great bodies. Most traxxas stampede aftermarket bodies will fit granite too

Nice rip, nice rig! I miss tearing around, I can set up a cool jump but I miss the dirt and just ripping around. That rock slam made me jump back 😆 Some serious blunt force trauma right to the FACE lol Makes me want to play w/ my plastic thing again. How do you not have snow? Aren't you in Canada??
@phillybrc5 ай бұрын
These trucks are fun man, and just easy, plus they are cheaper than the animals you rip! I recorded this few months ago, but we actually have had a mild winter and barely have any snow…totally strange man. I appreciate uou stoppin by

My granite blx is in the mail but is it better than my 4x4 stampede???
@phillybrc4 ай бұрын
Absolutely.
@BeforeRobots-ch7gl5 ай бұрын
Great Job Phil! Which do you prefer, the badlands or the trenchers? Also are you running 17mm for hex or still on the stock ones?
@phillybrc5 ай бұрын
Depends on the terrain really, tough call. The only time trenchers don t work so well is wet grass. I even run trenchers on my 2wd Slash. If I had to choose for my first set of Prolines for the Granite, I would choose the MX Badlands. I ve been running unbelted. Converted the Granite to 17 mm with Typhon parts. Do you run either of these?
@BeforeRobots-ch7gl5 ай бұрын
Not yet. Going to convert to 17mm and pick up "some" Pro-line wheels and tires. Probably take your suggestion and start with the Badlands. @@phillybrc
@phillybrc5 ай бұрын
@@BeforeRobots-ch7gl Honestly, I cannot see you being disappointed, air control is top-notch, great glue job. I DID vent them though! And I put a piece of gorilla glue over the holes on the inside of the rims, this way water will exit the vent holes…if you didn t know that already.
@tyrellcorp21185 ай бұрын
She is ripping! Great bash. What are you running? Stock motor & pinion?
@phillybrc5 ай бұрын
Thanx Tyrell! Bone stock, just great traction. It sure is rippin’ and lots of fun. Thanx for watchin and I hope you re well man.
@tyrellcorp21185 ай бұрын
@@phillybrc Yeah, I’ve tried a few setups for the 100a esc and stock ends up best. I just started trying a new setup. 2800kv Spektrum motor for the Losi bog hog. (Jennie’s RC has them) Paired with an 18t pinion, it absolutely rips on 3s. Higher top end than stock, motor stays cool as hell, and it’s 4s capable. Only problem is, I think it cooked the 100a esc, which has actually lasted forever. So I’m trying the 130a 4s esc. Hopefully it stays cooler. 3s is more than enough, but I can also try 4s.

Being a NOOB, I'm curious, do you tweak your punch and brake settings or run them factory?
@phillybrc5 ай бұрын
So, I rarely run punch on max setting to avoid breakages. I usually lighten my brake setting, I hate the heavy nosedives when i m trying to correct a jump….i d rather hit brake a second time if more is needed. This comes with some driving experience and figuring out your preferences. Does that make sense?
