Finally got to run mine today for the first time. The hub screw on one wheel was bent slightly out of the box, the wheel wobbled pretty much. I tried to bend it straight but didn't achieve much. A new one is on the way. The website Tamico has all spares you need. I'm fairly new to RC Cars so I took it to a parking lot first to get a feel for it. Switched through the 3 power presets until I felt comfortable with full power on 3S. Then I took it over to a gravel parking lot and ran it back and forth with some drifting in the turns. It toppeld over once, but the body doesn't have a scratch. It ran nicely for about 25 mins on a 5000mAh pack. The steering is very quick and direct. It did wheelies in the beginning but not later. Traction wasn't good on gravel for the power left in the pack. When I picked it up after the ESC shut off it sounded like a box full of marbles. Gravel everywhere. One stone set right in with the drive shaft and scraped on it, but it didn't do any real harm. The honeycombs in the chassis are full of moist gravel. Gonna be a pain in the rear to get it out. Overall I'm very happy with what I got. The price is very fair IMO. Thanks to your reviews on the vehicles I had in mind I could make the best decision. The HOSS was an option but way to expensive. For my driving style the Granite works fine. I'm no Skatepark Basher (yet). Just want to run offroad, do some jumps (maybe a flip or two) and let the dust and gravel fly.

I have a typhen 6S bxl in Notorious 6x bxl a Creighton 8s roller exb and I got bored waiting to set that up with two 6s motors making it a 12s so tonight I just bought a Arrma granite 3s which is going to have 6,000 mah 150 c batteries in the morning I'll give you another review I have a feeling it's going to be very positive.... I gave away my in box controller to the hobby shop for anybody who may need it because I am running a DX5 pro and we're going out ASAP

So honest and non biased. Your content is very informative. True to the hobby. Not a fan boy of any brands. Very concise well thought out. You hit all the main pros and cons. If a new company came out with the build overall build quality of Traxxas with the style, performance and guts of Arma you would have a new champ in the industry.

Love your reviews man. To be honest man I feel the granite is the best 1/10 rtr brushless truck for the buck. The hoss is 469, the redcat mt10e is a little over $300. I dont the think the other ones would beat it in lap times on the carpet track you ran. It would be cool man to see you do a shootout of the granite v.s. its other competitors maybe on carpet, parking lot, and a grass park area! Either way great review man.

I am waiting for someone to come out with a spring loaded aluminum drive shaft. Surprised no aftermarket company has come out with one,then I'd think about putting a 4s n the v2 version

One thing to keep in mind you must upgrade the diffs driveshafts and spur gear in order to make it durable, because if you upgrade the diffs for example that leads to higher torque and lead to breaking driveshafts. If upgrading driveshafts leads to blowing up diffs because of the torque and weight driveshafts do. If upgraded both, all the torque and pressure is applied to spur gear leading to it's Teeth degrading faster than before. So upgrading the whole diff setup is recommended (not recommended out of box cuz these arrmas have oversized diffs that handle the power and torque from the motor).

I ordered one yesterday. Here in Germany, I only found one store that still has some. RC Cars seem hard to come by now, with all the boredom due to lockdown and Xmas coming up. Hosses are almost all gone too. Anyway, I'm anxious to get it. I have to think of something to do with the rear end of the body. Maybe I'll tape it up from the inside or put some glass mat on the inside. That may not work well, because the body may just break somewhere else. Reenforcing with Shoe Goo and fibertape is popular, but a tube of Shoe Goo almost costs as much as a new body. Thanks for your reviews.

Nice review. After a few runs with double and triple backflips and abusing my V3 Granite BLX I srlripped the plastic spur gear. No problem. I installed the metal 4s Arrma spur but then destroyed both the spur gear and pinion. I didn't realize that I had a badly bent motor mount, so that caused misalignment of the gears. That also damaged the slipper clutch. So I had to buy all those parts again but upgraded to the M2C motor mount, which is working and it's way beefier than stock. So yeah. My step dad pulled the shafts out of the end of the shock rod ends on the right front and right rear shocks. I still don't know how he managed to do that one 🤣

I just got one of these last week. Is it normal for it to be a lil grindy sounding . Its my 1st arma. My stampedes dont sound like this. I love the granite bit its a bit noisy sounding. Normal?

Hey brother just got the BLX V2 in the mail the other day.and i opened it to make sure it worked and noticed a slight ticking noise almost like i have a small rock in a gear but haven't ran it on ground yet.i was wondering if that is normal out of the box.not real loud or anything almost like a dry gear maybe?approx your help or input.thanxs

Drive shaft aluminum Bends plastic brakes😉 Aluminum will bend faster then that plastic will break.It,s more dorabal..✌

The dirt in the power box is a huge design flaw. If you drive in very dusty dirt be prepared to go through spurs like candy. I've gone through 4 spurs since I got my big rock v3. One spur didn't even last a whole battery pack. The rest of the car is quite durable but the power box is a major fail.

Kevin T did some crazy ish with his V3 granite BLX and it was very durable. So I'm not sure I agree with the 4 ⭐. But great detailed material. Thank you. To me this seems to be the best bang for my buck.

My new v3 Granite runs my lipo down to 3.4 volts per cell before it goes into LVC. I don't notice any slowing. It just shuts off and the lipo is below what it should be at. Is everybody's doing this? I've checked and lipo mode is selected in the ESC menu.

Will you take a look at the Maverick quantum flux? It already has known issues and upgraded parts, but og you Smash og as long time as your others Might find different stuff. OR check out the new Maverick quantum +, should be released some time Soon 👌

I think in this segment the rival mt10 is the one to get. However if you throw the big rock v3 into this same category my opinion is it wins. Still the rival mt10 is the better looking truck and the led lights dont hurt the idea of it.

Here the rival mt10 is £250 and the granite is £329. The granite v1 was £269 and the v2 was £299. If I could go back I'd buy a v1. The hoss is about £480 lol. If you want to test another 1/10th Truck the red cat rcmt10 is another one in this price range and it has 14mm hexes. Feels like a downgrade from the trmt10 though.

I had mt10 these is loads better in evrything electric s more durable etc i used to love the old team associated tho they dont seem 2 be as strong as the old model s rb10 better comes with metal shafts

I bought the v2 Typhon one day before the launch of the v3.. i love the car but its been a bit of a problem car, stripping spurs all the time, motor has broken on me twice, leaking shocks. Im going to sell it and buy the V3 because i just love all the other things about it, do you say its worth it to sell it and buy the v3? (edit: you said no, but if i wanted to fix all the things with my v2, i wouldnt have to spend much more for the v3)

Dude it's $319 not $549. Arrma is a 10 for the money. Even the Crew cab is $319 now. One can buy lots of extras for $225 bucks. I can almost buy 2 Arrma vehicles for one Hoss

The Hoss. Has no shock guards. For the money you pay that's the least I can do. not worth the money. It's a $300 truck all day.....✌ Granite Big Horn trucks cheaper. BetterBlx great truck. For the money there's nothing wrong with it

The big rock is better .Arrma makes 3 or 4 3s cars how many do others make way more Arrma pushes high s cars . Arrma 3 s cars don't land jumps as good. With the big rock being the first solid jumper. They did a great job with the big rock.arrma cheaper because of cheap remote. So spend the money on good remote and price higher than others. I rate cars on ease of working on durability good remote an drive ability and landing and how easy to change end points and breaking and throttle . Fast arrma does not offer it . I change settings depending on area I have 4 save settings . Can change in 20 sec. It's not a turrners car . I will pay more to have a more adjustable car . But beginner car guys have no clue to this idea. They just want cheap fast durable .I want durable easy to work on fast ease of changing tuning. Breaking etc. Arrma will get there but not now. Why they have no choice to keep up. With the R T R market. But let's see where the price goes. It costs more to do it.
