Just bought my first Kraton 6s v5. Actually my first electric car period. Been a nitro guy for quite some time now. Since I’ve started watching Kevin I’ve been kinda drooling at the mouth to get my hands on one of these. Can’t wait till it gets here. Love from USA!

Same here, raced and bashed nitro for years. This 6S Kraton is on a whole new level, compared to any nitro I ever had. Some things never change though, I break it every time I take it out, Lol.

Worthwhile to Invest in some aluminum chassis braces. Stiffens it up a bit more. I even went as far on my outcast and did the front plastic center diff mount and center diff top plate with the aluminum hop ups.

The car did it perfect , the damages are absolutely normal for so many hard beatings. So this arma it's a greate rc car. And don't someone say it's a bad rc because of the chassis bend, don't expect to be an unbreakable model , all the things breake sometime when beat them hard. So i vote is great rc car after these big tortures.

it's always best to design a breaking point in a chassis. I'd rather replace a brace than the whole car. it's smart engineering.

Every RC in the world will break doing stuff like this. There is nothing legit about testing an RC durability by launching it aimlessly into the air and falling through a tree. Hardly real world applicable but I'm sure it makes for good tv.

Kevin, Hot Racing and Voltage hobbies make some good aluminum chassis brace and other upgrades that will make a big difference in durability.

Yeah that’s the same hobbywing card i got. It does work. And yeah change that servo and servo mount. Get rid of them tires too. You’ll love your badlands on it. 👍🏽👍🏽

You should check out the 1/10 4x4 blx line of arrma cars, like the granite 4x4 blx, senton 4x4 blx, and the big rock blx. They are incredibly durable. Arguably more durable that the kraton. They have a plastic chassis which is nice.

ive seen people double up the chassis and run 2 sandwiched or cut steel plates that are stronger and use it as like a whole chassis skid...

Doesn’t it have a stamped chassis??? I guess there are some compromises you have to make when you buy a $500 RC that can also run 6s... still an amazing rig tho. Can I get a heart kev so people see this?

Monster airs, I think it might be from one of RC Anonymous's videos with a rear skid plate, quite a bit longer than typical ones (which seems to be made to tackle that weaker rear section of the Kraton's chassis), forget who it is by, but you can't go wrong with Voltage Hobbies stuff or GKA. One owner got a second chassis, cut down to just the center section for a full chassis length skid using longer screws there.

I don't know what you can get in England but Voltage hobbies makes the best upgrades for the Kraton. GKA is also really good 👍

I'd say the chassis brace only broke due to your mock up tower brace being ziptied to it stressing it under flex. Get some of the alloy ones and be done with it, maybe even look into some of the actual tower to tower braces made by a few manufacturers out there.

Amped RC in Australia do some awesome arrma upgrades and cheap shipping to the UK considering they are in australia! just ordered a full set of alloy stuff for my kraton from them. The shock towers they make are absoutley beautifully made

Hey Kev, you should review one of the newer Redcat Shredders. They're only like $350 USD and are 1/6 scale brushless 4x4 RTR (batteries not included of course). I love mine, just keep breaking damn front chassis braces bashing it! LOL

Good test, my typhon hit a curb head on at 73mph, bent the chassis but straightened it out. Doubt a slash 4x4 vxl would have survived though. I'm debating getting a Kraton and this was a good test of it. Try the GPS speed run on blacktop though as it'll be a 5-10 faster than on grass.
