I hear you. I was into gas & nitro kits in the early 90s. The engines were always the problem, never the construction. Most were built like tanks because they had to support a hot heavy engine. Then my decade of pain with the Traxxas trash began. I still have the remains of my 1st 2WD Slash. I think I had a total of 9 or 10 Traxxas cars during that time, not counting the models I have now. They kept breaking, so I'd either fix them a bit & sell or part them out. It got so bad that I quit running them for years. The Kraton got me back in this hobby. I took my V1 out 3-4 days a week for over a year, all seasons, all weather, hardly no maintenance. Mostly 4s. I beat on that single car in 1 yr more than all my Traxxas cars put together in 10 yrs. The thing was never down until the ESC smoked in that 2nd yr. I still wish I didn't destroy the blue body. These cars are truly what this hobby is suppose to be. Not a group of toy plastic money pits.

Recently bought my first rc ever and I went with the Notorious 6s paired with a 6s battery. And holy cow, I’ve been missing out. Super hooked, looking at a Losi super rock rey next. Also got my son an arrma granite to start with and he loves it so far.
