Ridiculous fun is an understatement. Here's a close look and overview of "Mean Green". She's a ballistic all around basher that takes a serious pummeling and just keeps going!!! Weighing in well under 7lbs, she rolls and flies over surprisingly rough terrain. With blazing 4s speed, finesse with the throttle is key. Props to ARRMA for such a wonderful, capable platform. Shout out to Fast Track Hobbies and M2C Racing.

@@richduperbash2966 Newbie question you said it had good chassis slap, why is that good? Thx or what amount of slap is good...
@richduperbash2966
@richduperbash2966 3 жыл бұрын
@@ParcoUpchurch in general, the chassis should be able to bottom out off jumps and by hand without too much effort. This ensures that the shocks and control arms aren't overloaded. If you run really tall wheels, it's possible to raise the axels too high to allow proper chassis slap. That leads to busted arms and shock rod ends and can damage your shock shafts and pistons. Likewise, the stiffer your suspension set-up, the harder the forces are at all the connection points in the suspension and hubs. 🍻😎💪👊👊

Wow Rich I am blown away oh how durable and fast it is. Any setup tips on how to make it land better. this Friday I hit a 6-foot jump and the front diff stiped. But then today I replaced the diff and went to bash with some friends hit a 30-foot jump and survived. The 3s arrma cars are super tough and modifiable and without breaking the bank. Supper cool vid Rich cant wait to see more of this rig. Hope you and your family are doing great!

Thanks so much Brother 😜. I haven't had any diff issues with these 3&4s rigs. The 6s rigs definitely need shimming and more vigilance in terms of maintenance and not landing on throttle...etc. I still recommend using Mugen Seiki E0206 planetary shims and 2-3 Tekno #1222 crown gear side bearing shims. Appreciate the kind words my friend 😊. Hope all is well. 🍻👍👍😎💪👊👊

Wow, for a moment I thought Arrma had blessed us with a new 4S rig. Oh well, the Senton didn't move me much when I first saw it. At my shop they only had a 30MPH one and the new Granite was a 50MPH 3S so I went for it. I wish Arrma would make a 4S truck like the Senton, it would rock. Great Video what an upgrade. Arrma needs to see it and say "what an Idea" then just make it. I'd throw my money at it for sure.

Thanks so much Harry 🤗. My hope is to motivate ARRMA by example. They do watch and get ideas from us basher's 👍. I think it comes down to appeal. I'd argue a high powered 1/10 4s RTR would be very popular. Even a 4s based Infraction or Felony would be a hit. Not everyone wants to pay $600+ to haul ass and have fun. While it's great to have different scale options, let's not forget the raw fun factor of lighter, 1/10 platforms. 🍻👍👍😎💪👊👊

I have to upgrade the shocks like you to 6S shocks because I bend the shafts all the time even on good landings. Very impressive that the plastic Ring + Pinion gears take the power so well. @richduperbash2966
@richduperbash2966 3 жыл бұрын
@@colter7300 often there will be a row of slightly flattened teeth on the crown or "ring" gear. The input gears can become pitted, but usually break teeth off when they fail and make a clicking sound when going slow. They can sometimes look fine at first glance. Best bet is to remove and inspect all gears (and bearings) closely and compare them with new gears. Shimming the crown gear side bearing with two Tekno #1222 shims is something I highly recommend to keep a tighter mesh between the crown and input gears. Lastly, make sure to use a quality marine grease and be sure the diff case itself is not cracked or stripped. 🍻😎💪👊👊

@@colter7300 I don't have diff issues very often to be honest, especially with them shimmed. The planetary gears and/or set pins can break on occasion, but it's pretty infrequent. Just don't run huge heavy wheels or land on the throttle. Gears need time to transfer power. They don't like sudden harsh stops...etc. I try to use momentum and keep the wheels spinning at the pace of the truck as best as possible. 🍻
