As a beginner, this is the most appealing to me. Ever since like 2015 I've always wanted a Traxxas Slash, but now that I'm finally getting into it, this seems like the best choice

I bought 2 granite boost. I burned 1 motor on stock gearing running 2S. 1 servo also died suddenly. Still, i like them a lot. For an entry truck for my kids, they are fast enough to have fun, slow enough to be tough as a coffin, it steers extemely well, you can drift them a bit if you're good. The motors do get very, very hot if you run more than 1 pack in them. I installed a heatsink with dual fans to help soak the heat from them, so far the other motor is still alive. They are super well build, very easy to fix. Sliding the motor/transmission out is pretty hard, but once if's done, it's a breeze to work on. Way way way better value than the latrax teton (i also have 2) i checked for the 4wd kit but backed off because they are just so much fun in 2wd. I think the same truck 4wd would be more boring (and even harder on the motor)

This is a wonderful idea for beginners,also giving room for growth as a person wants to get a better truck they can upgrade and learn about the hobby and how to replace and repair 👨🏻‍🔧.without breaking the piggy bank all at once.

I use my mega arrma Senton with the original 48 pitch 91t spur gear on 3s and you're right as long as your mesh is set correctly I don't have any problems even on 3s.

Just got the Granite Boost for my 9yo...he's digging it and already planning upgrades. The handling is surprisingly good.

The best thing about this whole truck is it's upgradeable to 4x4 and then to brushless. How many other 4x2 rc cars can do that? I have the 3s blx and it's ridiculously fast, so for a 8-10 year old this platform is perfect.

This is cool for beginners but Arrma really should bring back the TVP chassis 2wd rigs. They could go 8th scale with them or even bigger for the experienced enthusiasts. Those og first line-up of rigs are great and look even better. Prob the best looking rigs from Arrma imo. Would be sick to have that in a larger form factor. 6s? Would be crazy fun. Love my og 2011 rigs Vortex and Raider. Just upgraded the Vortex. Video is up on my yt channel 👍

I nearly bought one the other day. Reasons i didn't were mid motor won't suit where we race and bash, and i have 5x 2wd SCTs already. I bought a maverick quantum plus instead since i wanted another MT that i could share with my boys. This looks like a quality rig though. 👌

Was hoping you would also compare this to Losi 22s 2wd SCT rc. It's $190 on Horizon Hobby right now but was as low as $170 before. Seems very good for the money. Also surprisingly quick for a brushed system. Similar to Slash. If you reverse before punching throttle, can also do wheelies.

While its neat that you can upgrade the vehicle, I’m not sure that a 1/10 4wd is an upgrade from a 2wd rather than just different. But thats probably a completely different debate on its own (companies making it seem like you need to work up to a Kraton or a Sledge, rather than just having the best quality version of what you have)

Personally I'd rather not have adjustable turn buckles for bashing even on a brushless setup. We paid 219 bucks for the 4x4 mega back in the day.

I thought the slipper was ready for a brushless conversion so my mega infraction that I converted to brushless came with same slipper that on the vendetta so it was brushless ready I did not know these slipper were different

I'm not a fan of the new Boost lineup, you can tell they were designed by a marketing team instead of an engineering team to compete against the Traxxas 2WD lineup. It's a lazy cash grab on Arrma's behalf. What they should have done is design an all new 2WD platform from the ground up and price it cheaper than the Slash. The Traxxas 2WD platform has been around since 1994 and it's Traxxas's cash cow, they sell these by the pallet full in every hobby shop across the world. Arrma had a chance to take them on at their own game, but they decided to take the lazy way out instead. The Boost lineup won't be competitive against the Traxxas 2WD lineup. The Slash is so popular and has so many SCT spec classes for racing, would have been amazing to see a 2WD Senton compete - but nope, the 4x2 platform is not spec and wouldn't be allowed in any racing class. It's just a weird gutted out 4x4 Mega. The Stampede is also insanely popular and can pop wheelies for days, that's what makes it insanely fun. The Granite Boost can't pull a wheelie if Arrma's life depended on it.
