I've watched a lot of positive reviews with so many negative comments. I love this idea for a user friendly upgradable platform. I haven't been in the hobby for 20yrs and this is awesome for me and others that want to get back into the hobby and don't have much money.

I built the 2WD Slash and installed the low CG chassis upgrade kit during the build. A little pricey, but much improved handling. This Senton with the mid motor and coming stock with a lower CG chassis achieves similar handling as my upgraded Slash and for less $$$. I am running the stock Traxxas brushed motor/sec and it does look a little faster than this Senton. With the mid motor position on the Senton, it might put the power down in 2WD on a brushless upgrade better than the rear motor configured Slash. Thanks for the running footage.

Mid motor is the way to go in racing. Only old platforms still have rear motor. Looks like it ran pretty good. And that's even with those knobby off-road tires. Throw some tires more suited for that surface on there and that'd be a big help. I'd be curious to see what this looks like (for racing) with the following changes. Brushless setup, correct tires, vented body. You probably really could have a solid racing 2WD SCT.

still need more power, but the Senton 2wd defend himself really well, that for is a surprise actually is doing well

Haha love it! That truck looks like a fish outta water in that track but like you said it does perform pretty well. I like how it wants to roll back onto its wheels. Btw you make that look easy! Thanks man!

After watching this, I’m back in the middle between this and the Slash 2WD. I want a brushed SCT to run on a clay track, and this looks like it does much better on the grippy surface versus loose. I really like the looks of this truck and the feel of the suspension over the Slash on the counter top.

Can you race an ARRMA? Sure. Should you? Eh, if it's what you have and you're not concerned about being competitive, go for it. With enough work you can make these cars handle well, same with Traxxas, but it's a lot more effort than getting a purpose-built race car and it generally works better on looser, rougher tracks (in general. I know the Senton's better on high-bite than a Slash, but the thing is that loose dirt is a "great equalizer" of sorts while sealed clay and _especially_ carpet tend to favor overspecialized designs). Exception being the TLR Tuned Typhon, one of those won Sportsman E-Buggy at JConcepts Beast of the East Triple Crown.

It doesn’t look as smooth as when you use a race buggy on this track, but still some nice driving for a stock basher truck 👍

You can race anything. People race slashes all the time at.my track. They don't win except the novice class but that's a destruction derby class any ways lol

Well running by yourself really doesent show much. Running in a race will show its real face. Yes it ran nice but with out traffic you just get in a rithum.

Kinda slow...I like the truck though.
