Just the this past week I was thinking of my fav duets from the era. This was pretty much my top one. So beautiful. Another is Somewhere Out There with James Ingram. Man that man had a beautiful voice.

You probably heard Aaron's voice from the Cotton commercials "The Fabric of Our Lives" :) This is one of the most beautiful duets ever. You should definitely check out their live version!! They have such chemistry together! (and even dated from 1989-1992, and remained good friends after breaking up).

I always loved this song. And they were adorable together when they sang this live on an award show in 1990. He had a big hit with "Tell It Like It Is". One of my favorite Christmas songs is his "Louisiana Christmas Day". Not many Christmas songs make you wanna get up and dance like this song. It just sounds like New Orleans, where some of his relatives still play music in clubs on Frenchmen Street.

I think the most romantic duets are "Endless Love" , "Don't Know Much" and "Almost Paradise"....all having lyrics reflecting the thoughts of those deeply in love. ❤!

We were so lucky to have grown up in the 80s.

This song was huge that year, and their live performance at the Grammy's (?) is so lovely. They partnered for four songs, but were friends and music partners, not romantic partners. Linda had a hit with Smoky Robinson's Tracks of My Tears, and they appeared together at Motown 25 I think.

Arron Nevile's voice penetrates deep inside the soul, don't know of any other artist that has that kind of power.

Another great duet with Aaron from that very successful 1989 Linda Ronstadt album is "All My Life," which has become a popular choice as a wedding song. Quite beautiful as well.

You would love The Neville Brothers (Aaron's band with his brothers). They're amazing. And their album Yellow Moon is one of the best albums of all time. Not a bad song on it + a couple of great Sam Cooke & Bob Dylan covers. BTW- I've stood next to Aaron Neville & he really is (or was) JACKED. Like his biceps were as big as my thighs!
