OMFG is the best way to react to this finale it was insane and awesome. I want season 6 right fucking now. Also, R.I.P to the greatest villain of all time Prometheus.

Arrow just showed the rest of the CW DC shows how to do a Season finale that has an impact (i'm talking to you Flash season 3 finale)

In my personal opinion this is the best episode of arrow, and chase and deathstroke are tied for best villains.

"The name of the island they found me on was Lian Yu, its mandarin for purgatory." I got chills when I heard that again in this episode.

I need to say how amazing Stephen Amell's performance was!!!! Excellent portrayal of Oliver's worry and desperation to save his son, then the emotion in his voice when Oliver finally gets to talk with Moira again, his fear before Prometheus shot himself and then his shock at Lian Yu at the end but keeping it together for the sake of his son... That man deserves all the awards! 🏆 🏆 Seriously how can they end it like that?! 😱 I need Season 6 right now!!! 😩

Season 5 started as my last straw for Arrow but then it grew into my favorite one yet. I hope 6 and onwards keeps this up

I think they survived by going into the Argus bunker that Slade was kept in. Also Arrow S5>any other season of Arrow imo

It's a shame that Prometheus had to go but even in death he was working his game. He even killed himself like Oliver's dad did just for that extra level of trauma! Props to Josh Segarra! Great finale, great season, great villain.

Just because they confirmed all these characters to be coming back next season doesn't mean they will, they might have done that just so you think they're safe.

yo the way deathstroke fights is calm but ruthless please show up more next season as for the finale it was fantastic i easily rate it above flash and the other show's finales a lot of great fighting scenes, moments, great acting and perfect action (also the phone call with his mom hurt a lot) cliff hanger is very interesting they wouldnt make it a cliffhanger if they didnt have a plan for next season that involves the explosion also finally a season finale where its primarily focused on the main character when it comes to the climax. i love flash but in every season finale of the flash someone else is always saving the day and stopping the big bad (eddie, time wraiths, iris) #ArrowIsGreatAgain

My favourite detail from this episode was that you can see the flare of Chase's gunshot in Oliver's eyes.

I cried so hard when Oliver called his mom and told her he was alive 😭😭😭😭

I haven't seen anyone point out that Slade steps back when Oliver first takes out his helmet. And Chase's muzzle flash reflected in Oliver's eyes was the best. I wonder if it was a practical effect done with a camera flash or was CGI.

Slade won't be killed off since the last time they pulled that stunt Manu was so FUCKING PISSED OFF. So i doubt he would have come back if he was just going to die again

I have to say Arrow has been simply brilliant this season.

So the only thing I'm questioning is going back and having rewatched the ending, Chase was really slow in pulling out his gun. I feel like Oliver kind of sat there watching him do it and could have done something to knock the gun out of his hand. He's done things like that before with the Dodger and tonight he knocked down one of Talia's arrows. I don't know I'm probably overanalyzing it.

hope i was not the only one who noticed the move oliver and slade set up when he was like "put the gun to his head", that was the first move slade ever taught oliver when they where training to escape the island on the supply plane in season 1. #truearrowfans know ✌👌

Malcolm Merlyn is Al Sa-Her, the Magician. So I think it's safe to assume that he can somehow avoid death by landmine, either by a) pulling Cpt. Boomerang onto it and then legging it before shooting Boomerange so that he falls over thus setting off the landmine and the explosion or b) some other thing 'coz he's friggin' Al Sa-Her!

And to those of you who didn't turn your backs on Arrow after season 3, OR turn your noses up at Arrow because "The Flash" threw tv-level CGI at you, this (SUPERIOR) finale was your reward for staying loyal and keeping the faith, us real fans knew Arrow would find its way again, and get better, and it did, hope everybody enjoyed.

I mean it's vaguely possible that Malcolm could've stepped off and in the spit second before the detonation, flipped Boomerang under him and used him to cover the explosion. But even then Malcolm would be heavily injured or blown up in the ending explosion.

Don't care what anyone says this season have been amazing. Seriously Adrian Chase is giving Slade Wilson a run for his money on the best Arrow villain. Everything was so Psychological with him. Like he always knew that he wouldn't be able to win from Oliver in a straight up fight so he had to mess with his mind. Just the thought that he didn't care if he lived or died simply to prove a point to Oliver. Also i was a bit thrown off by that little Deathstroke redemption plot. Him making amends for the things he's done kind of takes the villain side out of him which in turn makes him less viable for future appearances unless they go full on Anti-Hero with Slade. Also i don't think anyone important died in that explosion its just meant to make Oliver thing everybody died. The only people who i think are mostly likely really dead are Malcolm , Captain Boomerang and a whole lot of League of Assassins goons. All in all i loved this episode and can't wait for season 6. But I'll admit this season and Adrian chase are going to be hard to improve upon.

Ok so I know that Black Siren is going to be a series regular for next season I just wonder in what capacity? If I had to guess I would expect a time skip with the flashbacks consisting of how they survived the island, Black Sirens origin, and just how they got where they are "at the time." It would be a good way for both Arrow and Flash to be in "some sense" on par in terms of the assumed time skip. I mean I can see that happening, can any of you?

Holy shit! That was an amazing finale.Might be the best episode of the whole series and damn Adrian Chase will be remember as one of the greatest Arrow villain. For a moment i thought Slade really betray them and then surprise surprise xD Well i can't wait for months for next season and we knew they all must have some way to be alive.

This season finale gave us 2 questions, 1) How in the hell they will do a Black Siren Redemption Arc if she is still being like this? and 2) Who survived and who died? My guesses are that Slade sacrificed himself to the explosions and gave them one thing to tell Joseph that he misses him and loves him. Dinah/Wild Dog are safe because they are now season regulars next year, Quentin won't die because he will try to help Black Siren's redemption arc or maybe his sacrificed for them gets her to realize her mistakes and change? Who knows but Felicity/Diggle/Thea/Wild Dog/Dinah Drake are SAFE But Slade/Nyssa/Digger/Quentin are on the chopping block to die...they can't have Slade back because he's schedule for Shannara Chronicles are much more deep and detailing he can't keep coming back on the show whenever...and Nyssa is on Training Day, Digger can die because he isn't on Flash as his nemesis and Quentin's story is almost completely concluded they are almost running out of things for Paul Blackthorne to do honestly... I love this season finale i think its top notch and they did it very well...there are some issues i have because of certain people and their lack of not knowing the situation and not shutting up but other than that its a solid season finale better than Flash and definitely better than Supergirl's My list Arrow Flash LoT Supergirl

I love how NOBODY laid a finger on Deathstroke. He laid waste to anyone who got in front of him. Also, don't worry, Chainsaw, they don't call him "Merlyn the Magician" for nothin'.

This episode was fucking amazing! I knew it'd be good but I wasn't expecting this. I did not see that ending coming. What I will say if if season 6 wasn't already confirmed that would have been a hell of a way to make it so. That tease is gonna bug me all break. Easily the best season finale out of all four shows. Definitely worth the buildup.

Yes, we know mostly everybody is alive. But boy did that shock me. How did they survive? A part of me wants Oliver to think they are dead for at least 1 episode, but either way, I'm very excited for season 6. I think this season is on par with season 2. Well done Arrow.

They all survived in the bunker where Slade was kept.

What my theory is, is that slade took the team into his prison where he was kept... The prison is made by argus therefore it will be bullet proof bomb proof the lot but I believe one of the at least is going to be dead potentially slade

I would say this season was almost perfect. The only episodes that stumbled were episodes 10 and 20. Other than that, fantastic season 9/10

Chase went out with a bang

I can see Rene, Dinah and Curtis surviving and continuing on in present time but the rest (Diggle, Felicity, Laurel, Lance) dying but still being the show in the flash backs which will now coincide with what happened in season 1 (if they choose to go that route).

What a great ending to a season full of twists... Prometheus nail this arc brutally, even his motivations and strategies to disable Oliver/team were very wiser. Thumbs up for your reactions this full season, mr chainsaw - have a nice 2017 year and months ahead to enjoy life outside the cw superheroes shows. !!@#$$*€£

I think they gave us this cliffhanger simply because they want the fans to have no idea where they're gonna go with the new season. Flash always depicts off the his comics, but with Arrow it's a different matter entirely. One thing is for sure, William is sure to play a big role in his everyday life moving forward and that is exciting because we'll get to see how he copes with fatherhood (whether with or without the team) though I'm confident it's with lol

This is a final with fucking stakes and common sense, which makes this episode of the DC series of the CW. For those who are sick of the island, the loop is curly and they have blown up haha. PS: The only way they survive is the underground Argus prison (literally a bunker) and for Malcom Do not forget that he is the magician, so always alive.

I think if you don't see him actually die the Magician is never really dead
