Laurel will betray her villain team

Oliver wouldn't do the same, that's the problem. He's proved over and over again that he won't sell someone else out even when it's in his best interest to do so. He's fiercely loyal to anyone that is in his circle, and even people he barely knows. He protected Yao Fei despite barely knowing him and was tortured for it, Shado, Slade, Sara, Roy, Taiana, Anatoly, Maseo, Tatsu. If something happened, he'd find another way and he'd work his ass off to make sure no one ended up worse off because of him. He needs people on his team are loyal to him. That's why his old team worked. Roy, Thea, Sara, Laurel. They all cared about Oliver as a person and not just as the Green Arrow. Seriously, if it were the old team, Oliver wouldn't be in the situation he is now where everyone is just going on with their lives. They'd be actively trying to get Oliver OUT of prison. They wouldn't accept him taking the fall for them all. His new team does because they were always about the cause and not the man, and even then they treated crime fighting like it was just a fun extra curricular activity.

I'm not mad at Rene because I understand but he could've at least told them earlier even if he was going to testify. I think they would've tried to find another way but would understand if that failed, he would testify. I do think him saying how he doesn't care that Oliver is mad at him was messed up because even though Oliver was pissed, he still gave him a chance. So I felt he could've been a little more remorseful. Dinah being upset was stupid because in the end her ass was still lying and hiding something pretty important from the team that clearly was going to go bad so being mad about not being trusted was a stretch. Curtis to me is the only one on the team that has a legit reason to be pissed off.

While the twist at the end was awesome i do feel like Arrow is repeating old concepts and certain ideas are appearing on multiple CW shows. This whole distrust between the team feels old and i thought the writers were beyond that. The current team has literally bonded well the last year and each of them would take a bullet for another. So this whole spying on each other seems dumb and badly written. Also the good guys being spied on like big brother by the bad guy? Seems like we haven't done that before OH WAIT yes we have on The Flash this season. I also find it extremely dumb that a world class hacker such as Felicity wouldn't have picked up on this. And someone as Oliver would know to check for these things especially when the enemy has been in your base of operations. Classic scenario of the writers throwing out logic in order to make the story work. Other then these things it was a good episode for the most part.

I am with you. I like Olicity, but stopped watching Arrow with how Oliver treated Laurel. I started watching again when Black Siren came back. Hoping she would give Oliver some static. Now I am not watching because in the crossover, Olivity crashed WestAllen wedding. Olicity could have waited for an Arrow episode. I am toast. I will not watch Arrow except through your reactions. Sorry.

Oliver placed in the same situation would do the same thing as Rene. Arrow does not have the moral compass that the Flash has. Felicity is selfish, crashing WestAllen wedding. She could have simply said I will marry you at the WestAllen wedding, then have this ceremony on Arrow. I would still be watching Arrow now. No matter how hard I try to watch Arrow, the writers keep turning me off. I am in the majority since their viewership ratings reflect my viewership.
