If you ask me, I don't think it's fair to judge cliffhangers by how they influenced future episodes, while at the same time including cliffhangers that we still haven't seen how they'll influence future episodes. In my opinion, when ranking cliffhangers, we need to treat them like we still didn't watch the episodes that come after that (which you did for some cliffhangers like Arrow 4, but for some you didn't like Flash 3)

The Flash 5x08 should be much higher on the list

For me the top three is always: Flash season 1 Flash season 5 Arrow season 2 Didn't really care for cliffhangers that ended with Oliver/Felicity seemingly dying because I was 100% sure they would survive

The Elseworlds one should be way lower due to how repetitive it is. Arrow S3 shouldve been ahead of S4. And yes. I get that the way they went about it is mimicing that scene from the Godfather franchise but still, they didn’t do it as good & that fight between Oliver & Ras makes that one deserve a higher than S4 place anyways. The one setting up Trial of the Flash is in S4 not 5. Supergirl S3 & 4 should be higher because of that fight against Reign in S3 & in S4, its very symbolic as Agent Liberty manages to in the midst of being captured pull one last trump card that manages to turn the government on Supergirl. It was explained that the version of Eobard we see in the midseason finale of S5 is the one that fought with the Earth X doppelgängers & ran away at the end. That said, you were definitely too hard on the writers for that & S5 should be way higher anyways as that episode in all is the best episode in the show to date & the ms finale teases the return of & alliances of Reverse Flash. In fact, Id probably put this one at number 1 due to how epic everything in this episode is!
