In response to Kate having less knowledge of nature, I saw it as a message. As we advanced on the timeline, maybe it is showing us how we are pulling away from nature and becoming more disconnected? If that is so, Kate has left us all with that impression.

Yes more of Elizabeth's back story would have been nice, as well as an explanation on why Elinor didn't use the powers to do something to Rupert and Radcliffe....like of anything to use it on it should have been that

I enjoyed the book but felt like it was also very lacking...it kind of felt like Altha and Grace may have been a little more then just friends before Grace's mothers death but we never got any real clarification on that....

Yes! Altha definitely seemed to have romantic feelings toward Grace, but I don't know if it was ever reciprocated. I would have loved a bit more about their relationship.

Yes he was younger because he was led to believe that their mother died while giving birth to him
