Everything about Spurs is wrong including the mentality that's attributed to it. Imagine a club with it's fans desiring to lose a game that would take them to a champions league because they don't want their rivals to win. That's a woeful mentality.

What’s the point of even growing revenue if it can’t be invested in a club beyond a certain point, at that point European clubs will be able to offer better players more. So we won’t compete there and even the smaller clubs if they grow will also be limited eventually. New tv deals brands and sponsorships mean nothing if they can’t be invested into a team and the rest of the money will go to owners now

Havertz is the new number 9. We might buy a Sesko but we aren't getting Gyokeres or Isak I'm certain about that. Havertz is the perfect Arteta striker who has a better goal ratio than Haaland up front. 12 goals and 6 assists in his first season, he will cook next year. For me he's top 5 signings of the season, he's one of the players of the year and he's been one of our best players this season. He's definitely worth 65 mill, considering he's matched his Leverkusen numbers which made Chelsea pay 75 mill in 2020 (equal to around 100 mill+ today) and we only paid so much for him because Chelsea were so reluctant to sell to Arsenal I think it's been a great deal.

Also Havertz was a generational talent, hyped as a striker/midfield hybrid. Great vision, physicality, technical ability and finishing, every game that's returning. He's creating more, he's winning more duels, his dribbling has improved and his finishing has improved. He couldn't have scored most of these chances earlier in the season

You got it all upside down. The reason why teams with the worst record in American sports get first pick is to try to eliminate monopolization. So the smaller teams have a fighting chance. Which in a way may look like the worst teams are being rewarded. But in actual fact it's better for the league. However, if you look at the history, the better run teams will always end up winning it or at least there and about. Look at Lakers, Celtics...etc.

They were going to take these losses anyway the players are garbage and they were never going to fetch the funds you think they would…. Take rashford for example…. Your fanbase thinks you’ll get around 80mil for him but in reality you’ll be lucky to get 40mil… reality is going to smack some of your fans in the face so hard…

@@jamiebaker8017 I am a united fan, and agree our valuation of players are much lower than reported as performances from the players have dropped it and compounded by the over paying to get them in. We need to cut the losses now and move on and not pay ridiculous wage and transfer fees. There will be massive losses but the execs need to look forward not a year or 2 ahead in hope the value will increase if they have a decent season.

The anchoring idea will kill the PL teams in Europe over time. For example, IF RM, MU and City all post revenue of 1b in a future year, RM will have a massive advantage over MU and City. Why? Under UEFA rules, RM would be able to spend 700m and be within the guidelines of their FFP while City and MU would be able to spend the same for UEFA, they would not be allowed bc the PL would have them capped at 500m. Therefore, RM would have a financial advantage of 200m in squad building relative to City and MU for European competitions. As Terry said, this will lead to the EPL becoming less competitive over time and the best players will go to clubs who can pay the most and that will be all leagues who are not hampered by this capping idea UNLESS all European league adopt capping and so do UEFA.

That's what it's designed to do, hamstring the Premier League. Europeans have always hated Britain and the Premier League has always bugged them because we're the most competitive and richest league and have been for decades. Ask any European fan about the money in the PL and you'll see what i mean 😂 they hate that hundreds of millions of fans worldwide tune in and buy PL merch 😂

How does hamstringing them financially help them in Europe? Win in Europe? Exhibit the league's competitiveness globally? It does the complete opposite. If you play in a team that moster play counter-attack football (like Leicester did last season) it's easier for a player like Maddison to deliver G/A because there is more space to operate..... In a team like Spurs the opposition doesn't give up that amount if space for Maddison to operate in so he won't create as much....so not so clueless!

Spurs fans crying that they dominated, ofcourse they would, they have had two weeks rest and are fresher, while Arsenal had played 4 games in the time, they are the home team as well, who generally tend to be more aggressive in these kind of games.
